That company is over 16 million in the hole this year. So the writing is definitely on the wall.

Teijin has recorded a 56% rise in net profits for its fiscal first quarter ended June 30, 2011, compared with the year-ago period, to ¥6.27 billion ($80 million).

having worked at pps and now working for a japanese company i can tell you that the japanese way is not to dump and run. selling off portions of a business is a sign of failure. directors have no desire to fire hard working employees but they will replace management. no idea what's going on in teijin's offices but what i know about japanese businessmen i wouldn't be surprised to see a change at the top. probably not replacing with in-house talent either. expect a japanese national
