Oncology cuts

Doubtful buddy... Lilly is well aware that the best representatives reside within Diabetes (probably no cuts)

Perhaps Diabetes does have the best reps....I used to be a part of that team. The problem is that those "best reps" have become dulled by the lack of any innovative products and constantly getting hammered by the competition that does have new products.

Sadly, they are selling the exact same products that I was before I retired 12 years ago...minus Actos. It must be incredibly stultifying to be a Lilly Diabetes rep these days. What in the hell does a Diabetes district manager tell his reps to keep them motivated? Probably......hey, just hang in there until you get 80 points.

What an incredibly boring existence for a good sales rep.

I predict CVM scores will finally begin to climb up from dead last now that Lilly Oncology has less headcount!
While the nerd-oh folks hang their hat on CVM scores because they are ranked ahead of the Paxil-Lexapro-Zoloft reps that are no longer around, the Oncology Division goes against true biotech companies that provide rebates and other services that Lilly Oncology simply cannot. If Lilly Oncology could lose the anchor that is the other albatross-like divisions and operate independently...it surely would.Prepare for a "haircut", haters...cause it's coming and it will be substantial.

Wow. You are a pathetic individual. Why are you so defensive about oncology? I think it's because you know what you do for a living is truly valueless and worthless and it somehow makes you feel better about being a disappointment to your friends and family to bash primary care reps.

Anything positive out there...

YOu know... we all work for the same company. I have been reading many posts the past few weeks ...nothing good or positive shared..all negative bashing...against other divisions, upper management..and it goes on...makes me sick to see all of it. I work for the company..(doesnt matter which division)..i like my coworkers, my customers and my boss. I am happy i have a good paying job. I wish others would say more things that show their decency and good attitudes here. We have plenty in life to gripe about...and i am sure this post will provide a place to give me grief...(also sad)...hoping some others can put out something more positive and upbeat...

You have my vote for CP MVP.

This is an amazon post filled with a ton of "I'm prettier than you" digs and cuts. Don't we all work for the same co? You wouldn't think so. Having been in both DIA & ONC divisions they BOTH are boring and not very inspiring...not due to dull reps but due to the nature of the marketplace....access is terrible everywhere. So DIA gets to sell Humalog...wow weren't we the leaders and now NOVO has done a total "scoreboard" especially in hospitals...but oh, We are Lilly and that won't matter. Didn't we launch Byetta....wow NOVO again with scoreboard. Need I go on??? It really is sad b/c of the wonderful rich heritage of Lilly Diabetes.
Lilly Onc is a tough place to be not b/c of Lilly, but b/c of the Hem/Onc marketplace.
In the end any drug anywhere with any rep is tough....if not TOTALLY boring and unrewarding. BUT, with ONC on resume rather than PC(diab, NS, et al) you will be more marketable...IF, IF, IF anyone is hiring.
Good luck all Lilly reps.....It is good to be an ex-Lilly rep as there is a great future outside of Indy.
