I'm sorry that you feel less important when other people wear jeans with the same title as you. Please know you are a PHARMA Rep. Aka- not that big a deal. Don't like it? Get promoted in Shire or go to a biotec company where they have been wearing jeans to national meetings for 5 years. It's true everyone wears jeans, but you are surrounded by people who know jeans at a national meeting have nothing to do with driving sales. Go drop off samples and go away

I have about 100 pairs of pajamas. I like to see people dressed comfortably. Let's have a PJ day at the meeting!! Our new management will support it! This is the new and improved, high tech Shire!! We are just as cutting edge as Google and Apple! Hahahahahaha!

Agree it will be the same old same old. This jean thing is a diversion from the real problems we are facing at Shire. Does anyone really believe the culture is going the change? If sales are below expectation, people will be fired just as in the past. So screw this jeans crap!

Hey Kathy and Perry. Just wanted to let you know that this meeting rocks (in meeting standards)! Very laid back, better cohesion, we feel like a team, nobody scolding is like children. Jeans is awesome and NOBODY looks unprofessional. There's a good mix of buzz casual and jeans.
Mike and John's mentality is far better than the wicked witch, they just radiate positivity and are both down to earth and approachable.
Maybe based on feedback you could learn and apply some of these tactics to the whole company and the nsm. Maybe then employee satisfaction would grow some. Food for thought.
