Doesn't Mitch get on TV and proclaim how our state is in great shape, and we are not in debt? Why does anyone believe this liar?

I say burden their system that they promised us, by getting access to any help the state will provide. Why is it that our lawmakers have led us down this path and still decry that everything is "fine"?

People, stop putting up with their lies, make them explain their bs and show that it is lies!

Who voted for that guy?

He has helped to orchestrate the screwing of Lilly employees repeatedly during his tenure.

Guess how much state income tax Lilly pays?

Answer, nope, lower than that!

Even lower.

Even lower.

That's right, zero.

Do not forget the 8000 jobs that the company was supposed to ADD as part of a multibillion dollar tax package. 8000 + 5500 ++++ do not ask for whom the bell tolls....

Re: MASSLAYOFF MONDAY

The ongoing demonstration of what this place values continues without ceasing as yet more are let go today; kiss them all goodbye as the patent expiration accelerates. ~14% of the total are: PA,DC,MD,RG,CJ,TM,RO,CS,JW,TYfin.pln.cnslt.;hlthcr.dev.mngr.;cap.proc.;sr.res.fell.;bus.supp.comp.;qa.cnslt.;bioph.cnslt.;med.fell.;int.bus.dev.adv.;cnslt.biol.

They go on and on and on and on....

This sounds right for LRL. Everyone is being forced into moving up project end dates to December now. At all costs, complete the projects in unreasonable time periods. China and India are being ramped up faster than everyone initially thought. There is still the push to get all of IT to India. November is going to be fun. Just wait.

Can anyone elaborate on this? What component(s) of LRL being affected?

I doubt that. One thing for sure, reallocation are nowhere near done. Expect more cuts and soon. They'll get really scared at the top for the next quarter which will cause them to make more cuts. They only know how to manage quarter to quarter.

Funny how the number of views on this thread currently exceed the number of employees.

Amidst the accelerating terminations, projects are at a stand still, with paralysis gripping even the most basic efforts. Remember that migration to Outlook? How's that going? Oh, that's right...it's not.

Correct. Everything is bottled up and paralyzed. Contractors left and right making changes without one company telling another company what was changed. Applications are falling apart. Communication is non-existent now. Teams spread too thin and cut past the bone. Morale is the worst I've ever seen it. It will get worse. IT and the sciences have felt the brunt of cuts so far and that won't change soon. We can all feel good in that the company's upper echelon will still gather their gold nuggets after cutting more people. In fact, they'll get more because the do cut more people. The high command must be always saying to themselves, "Man, if we can only cut all of science and IT we'd be making some money here."

What do they have to fear at the top? If they fail, they still walk away with millions of dollars. The only consequence of failure is that their buddies might pick on them at the cocktail pairtes for a couple of months.

As for morale, I think it's just fine. There are plenty of contractors around who seem quite content, unencumbered by thoughts of the way things were supposed to be.

For a company under a Corporate Integrity Consent Decree with the DOJ, contractors are both blessing and curse...and potential DISASTER
