News from WWSM

wow. this is great stuff. i don't work for ISI, but know a few people who went there for various reasons. Not sure how some of these veteran sales professionals are reacting to being treated like little kids. be in bed by 10, no more than 2 drinks, brush your teeth before you go to bed, don't forget to floss, eat your broccoli, don't touch it or it will fall off. that's awesome that they feel so empowered over everone. This environment sounds pretty controlling and toxic. is the money that good? sounds like the environment sucks. just finished up a busy morning in the OR making a ton of coin. need to go make my lady happy.

and by the way, surgeons are looking for a reason to stop using the robot. they are catching on to the bogus story you gave them. now, GET BACK TO WORK!

There have been people at Intuitive with similar debilitating health issues that have personally been supported by leadership. One in particular was hit by a car and Intuitive continued to pay for their salary and held their job and there have been many others that you don't hear about. There absolutely are some thoughtless leaders. But you'll find that in any company. You are just too inexperienced to realize it. You'll run to a grass is greener situation and find there are heartless pricks there also. If you want a Christmas gift, go be a school teacher.

I wish you could see how far back my eyes are rolling. I guess you've never heard of long term disability insurance, short term disability insurance & FMLA. I guess ISI complying with the law makes them a caring company.

HAHAHAH. What an idiot.

That rep was actually run over in a parking lot by one of her own gyn docs. True.

She was (is) an awesome rep too. But no longer with the company.

The best (should have been) CLM came after last year's mid-year WWSM. Big mouth ASM in California called the local newspaper to give them some procedure numbers to publish so she could "agitate" a hosital to help push a system. The problem is those numbers were highly confidential (SEC violation anyone?). She got a slap on the hand and we all got an email sent to us about the importance of confidentiality. Best part it she is still here. In my opinion management set a terrible ethical precedent on this one by keeping her. But she sells a lot of robots so of course now she is up for a key accounts promotion. Very disheartening.

I believe that this was an honest mistake, but nonetheless she should have been fired. The problem is, she is the only ASM who moves systems in the West. In fact, she is talented enough to transform her area to the point that a very nice, but half r*****, was CSM of the year and just promoted to CSD.

The only hope for the West is with PZ (which is very encouraging). GV is the most uninspiring person I have ever worked with. In fact, he may be a robot. Last thought on the West is that KG must manage up incredibly well. I don't think a person in the West would piss on him if he was on fire, and his results are worst the atrocious. It all starts at the top.

How does someone mistakingly call the newspaper? Perhaps all of the fired CSR's who "made an honest mistake" mis-reporting their quarterly procedures should have been cut some slack too then. Bottom line is everyone knew better.

Either way, I had a hard time listening to the ASM whenever she talked at the WWSM. Where there is ice there is an iceberg. I would hate to know how she's getting all those systems sold if an SEC violation is the ice.

'where there is ice there is an iceberg'? That's just stupid. That's like trying to say where there is smoke there is fire. Actually, that one makes sense. smoke only comes from fire. all ice does not come from icebergs. just so you know.

Where there is ice, there are low temperatures. Doesn't have the same ring to it, but it's accurate.

There's no SEC violation. ISI doesn't want people to do the math. They had a gross profit of almost 2 billion last year. Divide that number by the number of procedures to get cost per procedure. It's a pretty high number. It doesn't make any logical sense that it should cost $XX,XXX on average per procedure.

As far as the West goes, you are spot on. I am sure you are referring to KC and not KG. How KC still has his job is a mystery. That dude would sell out his granny if it saved his own ass. This will be a fun quarter to watch his finger pointing to keep his job.

One of my accounts just recently announced they are REFUSING to buy a robot because a few other hospitals in the state/region bought them and aren't seeing the ROI. Well I'm SOL & I just started!!!! As my contact says: "it's basically a $1.7M paperweight that just collects dust and u assholes aren't going to give us our money back if it doesn't get used enough so we collectively made the executive decision to not buy any robots at this facility."

Nope, this is when your douche bag mgr gets on his game face and tells you to make those Mds take a stand or leave! Put up a bill board that says "this hospital won't invest in new tech..." Start the shakedown and blackmale; called leverage here. This place blows. Do you realize how many $1.7mil paperweights are out there?! Tons, you just left a mtg hearing all about them.
Good luck, dumb ass. Next time, look before you leap. PS - We've all done it. Scored the winning ticket aboard the Titanic. Just button up your resume and leave believe before they completely destroy your self esteem.

Hold on here. This IS what you signed up for... This is your golden opportunity to earn your MBA from ISI... How's your "away" strategy? Line up some MDEs, educate the patients, park that mobile system in lot across the street.

"Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds."-Einstein. I am afraid you are one of the jealous and small-minded members of the mediocrity Einstein was referring to. Have you ever noticed that true performers and talented individuals spend very little time cutting others down? They are too busy achieving.

I am so glad I am no longer at that hell hole of a work place. I am sure that meeting is an a@& whip considering the Q2 miss, position papers, legal troubles, etc.. But hey, it might not be that bad....... JM, LS, MM, JA and all the other F$"&tards dumped their stock to the tune if over 280 million. All you common people that were "given" options over the last 2 years are sitting on $0.00. You have put up with all the BS and moral thievery all for nothing.

Drive The Curve!!!
