New Openings

Looks like start date is 1/7/13. $500/month car allowance. Was told 8 calls/day, but also told it was based on an estimated 320 calls/quarter, which, unless my calculations are off, comes out closer to 9 calls/day than 8/day. Maybe there are actually more days than I thought when working 3 days/week.

Looks like $20 per call, plus car allowance. Because of the allowance, I am thinking territories might be sizable.

Haven't worked contract position before, so how does this work? Are these numbers based on working 52 weeks of the year? Is there an option for a week or two off during the year, which of course would be unpaid?

No offer, but a phone call to see if I was still interested. The details:
$25,000 salary (based on 8 calls per day, 320 calls/quarter)
bonus potential
$500/month car allowance
No benefits offered since this is part time
Start date Jan 7th
calling on OB/Gyns
no overnight travel
If you are still interested when they call you with this info, you will be told that someone will contact you in a few days for a phone interview. The phone interview is the final step to getting hired. Hope this helps...

Pretty much same thing I was told, except she did not say anything about bonus potential.

Did you get any idea how much bonus potential?

Also, I wonder if there will be an expectation of a signature for every call. This could be a problem in some big OB/Gyn offices with a lot of physicians where you can't get a signature from every one of them.

You are right, signatures in an OB/GYN office will not be easy.

For those that have heard back, mind sharing when you sent in your Candidate Release Authorization? Been a week since I sent mine in, starting to assuming I "didn't make the cut."

Serious reponse please. I was asked to release my birthdate for a background check. With most companies that is the last step before hiring you. Do you think I got the job ?? I wasn't given any information about the company or the product. Thanks so much for a response.

I also thought it was odd that they wanted this background screen and my birth date at this stage of the process. It's also been about a week since I emailed in my release form.

Somebody asked how many they were considering for each position. I have no direct knowledge, but I have to think that these background checks are already costing them money, so maybe that's a good sign that we are not competing against very many for each position.
