New diabetes positions

They ask if you're willing to do the same job you've done previously for half the pay.

So true, it is exactly half the pay for me, actually a little less than half if you factor in the stock awards, prizes and company cars of former positions. However it seems to be the reality of today. I am having a hard time accepting this reality. The higher paying positions these days seem to have huge multi state territories which I have worked in the past, but don't want to do anymore. These contract positions are paying less than I was paid when I started out in sales years ago.

Anyone get an offer yet. Had F2F, still waiting.

I have not yet had my face-to-face. Still have not heard when it's going to be scheduled and it has been almost two weeks since my phone interview. I was told I'd be notified either way. I've heard nothing.
My assumption is that I have probably been eliminated...but because I've heard NOTHING, I just not certain.
Any advise/input from those that have already interviewed?

They've been reorganizing districts over the last couple weeks. I've been told different info from different recruiters and DMs. Seems to be in a state of flux, so I wouldn't give up hope just yet. I've had two phone screens with different recruiters, and two DM phone interviews for different territories, but first FTF interview is later today.

I have a face to face later today as well, good luck to everybody out there. This is no picnic for sure.

The AZ drug Onglyza just got some bad news about a study they were conducting. This whole class of drug is now under scrutiny by the FDA. Be careful with this one.

The study was looking for a cardiovascular benefit, which it did not find. But neither did it find any CV harm. None of the others in the class has any CV benefit claim, so I don't see that as a big problem.

I have years of pharma experience and great relationships with the physicians in the territory. From plenty of experience, I also know how to interview well. I did not make it to the ftf. I felt overqualified for the job and thought they would be lucky to have me. This tells me that maybe managers are bringing people over from prior jobs or they are giving priority to former Publicis reps. Its unfortunate when you feel like all of your hard work and experience just dont pay off anymore. Its all in who you know!

Not necessarily giving advantage to former Publicis reps- I know several that didn't make the cut for FTF. In my contract experience, unfortunately it is the client's preferences that take priority, not the contract company. In addition, hiring managers have their own hot buttons and dislikes, so it's a crap shoot really. If you didn't make the cut it likely has no bearing on how perfect a fit you think you are or how much experience you have.
