New diabetes positions

Not necessarily giving advantage to former Publicis reps- I know several that didn't make the cut for FTF. In my contract experience, unfortunately it is the client's preferences that take priority, not the contract company. In addition, hiring managers have their own hot buttons and dislikes, so it's a crap shoot really. If you didn't make the cut it likely has no bearing on how perfect a fit you think you are or how much experience you have.

Interviewed today and liked the manager. She was someone I'd like to work for. She said there were many very talented people competing for one or two positions. She was very honest and said the decision was going to be tough because everyone she was interviewing could do the job. Frankly, I am concerned for all of us in this industry. It keeps getting smaller and smaller.

You should be concerned!! The irony is, quote, "many very talented people competing for one or two positions." Think about it, why are you wasting your time on a job that doesn't require "real" talent? You know it doesn't. Take your talents to an industry that appreciates what you can do. Much of Pharma, and especially contract, has become a mindless sink hole of a job. Don't waste your potential....

Duh...not everybody lives in an area with a lot of other industries with opportunities to make ~$80,000/year.

"Duh".... once the pharma jobs dry up, and they will, you won't be qualified to do anything else. Like I said, requires no real talent. So... keep playing musical chairs if you want, but you will eventually not have a place to sit.

Uhh, I only need to work a few more years, and then I'm done. Who's going to hire me into a totally new field at this point? This is what I know and am good at.
