New diabetes positions

I have a phone interview in the morning. I would like to know, realistically, if I even have a chance for this position. I was a sales rep for a little over 2 years but that was 5 years ago. I sold medical nutrition products for Abbott and I'm a Registered Dietitian. Thoughts?

If you're asking for a realistic answer, I would have to say your chances are not too good.
There are just too many experience pharma reps looking to get hired by Publicis.

Finally got an email with the questionnaire late last night. They do seem to be looking for for pharma sales experience, as one question asks when was the last time you were in a pharma sales position. They also ask when was the last time you attended and completed Pharmaceutical product training, how many products did you need to learn at one time, how long was the home study, have you been trained on "digital class form technology", Have you used tablet or IPad to detail and promote products, and have you sold diabetes products in the past.

Hopefully this will give a chance for some more experienced reps to get the job, not just the young guns with B to B sales experience that they sometimes seem to be looking for.

Interviewing now. That's a long time to wait to start employment

Well if they do F2F within the next 3 weeks and the last date for offers will be end of June to give 2 week notice it is really not that long of a time. Most of the contracts are like this where they have definite dates that are 4-6 weeks away

Yes, I guess you're right.

I would think most of the hires will be experienced reps who have been recently laid off. If someone were currently employed by a pharmaceutical company, why in the world would they be interested in joining Publicis, when the salary would surely be a substantial cut in pay?
Would Publicis actually hire someone who has no pharma experience? Could'nt see the wisdom in that considering the number of unemployed pharma reps out there??

Have any former Publicis reps been sent the questionnaire or given FTF date for the interview yet? This seems to be highly unorgainized so far.

Ok....I am not with Publicis now, but interviewing.
My question is this: Do current Publicis reps have to re-interview every time a contract expires and a new one develops? In other words, do they have to re-prove their worth with every contract?

The reasoning behind this is that each client has a specific requirement list. You may be right for one contract but not another. Having said that, Wyeth consumer division people who are all friends with eachother get the first shot. And then they wonder why all the contracts fail...the only people who make the contracts successful are the non-Wyeth people who actually know how to sell and manage sales people. It is kind if a closed shop.

I agree. I had to deal with wyeth people while at Pfizer. The worst, laziest, most unprofessional group in the business

ex publicis reps are being contacted. Have only received the questions to fill out but I did that before the phone interview. Have not heard about face to face. Should be by fri

im a former publicis rep and I have also heard that I am moving to a f2f interview just not sure when. was told I would hear by this week sometime. Im assuming the managers are just not all in place.

I worked on a Publicis contract a year ago and was called by the recruiter on Friday, I also started a background check on Friday through the links they sent me using verificationsinc, tomorrow I have a phone interview with a DM but not sure after that. Has anyone else had to do a background before they even had a phone interview with the DM? I was told the base pay is 60-70k max and the contract runs through Dec 2014
