MS Panel Offers

I did but from Gene and not P1. Appears folks are being asked by either P1 or Gene for W2's, etc. They also asked me to send proof of my RSU's I am leaving on the table, not a whole lot though.

I am second guessing the process now ad they are changing tone on salary. I currently make 135k and asked for 145k with no opposition throughout the process. Now they are nickel and diming me asking me to take 140k. No way, I am out, FU Gene and a double FU to P1!

Calls are at the end of May and offers will be closer to $150K if you have MS experience and $140K without it.

Just left panel interviews. Feedback was that I gave a great interview, but they had a lot of talented candidates. They had to discuss how each member would round out the team. Got a similar answer in second interview. Is this a standard answer, or did anyone else receive more promising feedback?

come on man.....160 positions and your the chap getting an early offer. Save it bud..

Look 'bud' or should I say 'Spicolli', I do not know how things operate between the recruiter and Genentech but I went to Chicago the first day panels were held. In fact, I have been going back and forth with Gene HR since Monday negotiating a sign on and salary. The sign on is options I will lose with my current employer and bonus I leave on the table. I know of two other externals at the same point in the process. I am not here to BS or spead mistruths, simply trying to communicate MY ongoing progress with fellow candidates. It bothers me when posters state 'All offers on May 23'. Now perhaps that could be true for me as well but I am negotiating with HR now and it has been back and forth for three days so far. HR said P1 has no involvement in comp matters! Good luck all.

Yes, standard answer.

You're a fraud. It's that simple. No offers have been extended yet. No one listen to this idiot. Calls will all go out the same time. Shame on you for posting this.

Hold on I have experienced the same. The poster didn't say they had an offer, merely in negotiations and will get the wrapped up offer 5-23. I am doing the same with hr and they said they are processing things as they will have so many offers they need to have paperwork in order and time to negotiate. You cannot process 150 plus offers overnight. The back and forth with some applicants can take a week.

Same for me --- I have talked with P1 and HR in order to provide salary requirements and money left on the table such as bonus and stocks. I interviewed last week. Also the hiring manager has reached out to me. i was told official offer will come on the 23rd. They are trying to get those offers put together now.

Now I have to chime not this. The process of extending any offer of any kind hasn't started yet with HR or any other department so what you are stating is a lie. Negotiations will happen during the week of May 23 and in most cases be completed by Friday May 27.

What you are stating is completely different from what others claim that have happened where HR has offered them a package. The form you filled out in terms of salary requirement was in the initial phases and everyone had to do that but no actual offers have been extended to anyone at this point in terms of being the "selected" candidate. They may have your salary requirements, but that doesn't mean they are going to make you an offer.

You are correct -- no official offer has been made!!! All I am saying is P1 and HR have called and ask "what are your current stock grants that have not vested? What is your current bonus - will it be forfeited or prorated?" Obviously they have my current salary and all of that information. P1 contacted me the day after my panel and said I was still in process. They did NOT say, "You will get an offer". Alsothe day after the panel, P1 had me go ahead and complete the consent to do the background check. Who knows if I will get any offer. All I am informing is what has happened to me after the panel interview. If this hasn't occurred to others after their panel, I wouldn't think that they are out. Maybe they just haven't gotten to them yet or there are other candidates that they have to talk with. Truly, I don't want to make any feel bad or give mis-information. Good Luck to everyone!!!!

offers started to go out today, at least for some internal candidates though not all interviews have been completed. Sounds like a rolling offer process for the next few weeks.
