More RIFs coming!!!

Then I swung thru Mickey Ds for a snack wrap, pulled behind the Acme and took a nap. Then drove home. I love working for Labcorp.

This job is the greatest. I have one of those home- based Cush gigs. I put in about 4 hrs/wk. I never have to worry about rifs, I have a fancy title and it's outasite, outamind. Pretty sure they are afraid to fire me because of past glories. I'm in that age discrimination bracket now too! Most days, I golf. All it takes is the rt Amy of email traffic to look busy and occasionally chiming in on the incessant conf calls. Beautiful forecast today, tee time at 1pm!

As long as you are "available by phone" you are good to go. There was a time when being a director, manager, etc. meant you were actually expected to be in the office but not in certain LC sites. "I am working remotely" in your Outlook auto response is as good as you being there. Don't "work' too hard.

The rules are : Delegate, delegate, delegate. Take all of the credit and pass on the blame. No need to be in the office all day when I am only an iphone call away. Can interface get more transparent than that? Just give me heads up when corporate is going to pay a visit and I will be there bright and early with bells on. After all, I have family responsibilities like homework, soccer, piano and ski classes and grocery shopping. No age discrimination worries here, because I am still in my thirties. Learned everything I know from you. Who thought managing a lab would be real "work"? I love my job!!!

Whats up in Houston? ANYONE got a clue about Riffs? Is this why they have police on site now? Getting ready for riff problems. Rumor going on a supervisor got a threat againsts her too. Whats going on?????????????No one is talking or telling the truth.

Police on the scene, wow. I'm sure it's just a precaution, they do that when disgruntled employees make a bit too much noise on they way out. It is kind of nice to know they take even the smallest concerns, and provide protection ans security for the remainder of employees. Bravo to Houston for spending the extra money and doing it, for whatever reason it may be for.

Have a visual on two LC supervisors having a fling. (YES MARRIED) Just lowers my respect for then. Shows very poor judgement on a personal level which no doubt flows over into work ethics. Shame on you!

Seriously?? I find it interesting that you people loose it over people having sex, but don't show the same contempt for the screwing over of your fellow employees.

And timing is everything. Everything shuts down by 5 PM in the East, and that's 2:00 PM PST. "Works" for me because I'm home by three, "working" remotely or in transition.

Done deal. All staff has been informed. LC bought a building in Phoenix, as opposed to leasing. Transition starts in Sept. Plenty of room to transition other labs also. Business is business.

Rumor has it that Labcorp signed a lease agreement for the Monrovia, Ca building. If this is the case, does anyone know how long the lease is for? Long term or short term? Thought IG/IO was moving to Phoenix.

Supervisors cheating should annoy anyone.

I had a healthy dating relationship (both single) and got harassed by a manager for it, as if there was a 'Bill and Monica' scandal happening. Different departments, outside of work, nobody's business... but for some reason this person didn't approve and wanted to let me know.

Seriously. Who cares?

Just antoher example of one of the many things wrong with this company: managers and supervisors worrying about issues that aren't issues; creating policies to address problems that don't exist, until said policy is implemented and sticking their collective noses into things that don't concern them, resulting in real problems falling through the cracks and not being addressed or fixed. It's just another day, doo, doo, doo, doo; it's just another day!(JPGR)

RIF's will come late 3rd Quarter. When we are behind in Accessions and or Revenue, LabCrap has to get the cost out. They will be adding IOP's by eliminating lower revenue IOP accounts. Sometimes we will do a two IOP for one IOP swap, to bring on the higher revenue. Also start watching your commission checks the rest of the year. That is when the "LabCrap's Magic Math " starts to work against you.

Enjoy the Holidays!
