Mike & Amy - MS FRANCHISE FAVORTISM & DYSFUNCTIONAL

Well you didn't get the coveted territory with a huge academic center with an author. Look at the authors on your clinical papers. There are your coveted territories. If you didn't land one of those you can't compete because the others are writing ocrevus on everyone like a one size shoe fits all!

This sales team is full of losers. I hope they move some of the eps that get cut over to take your spots. Its really a shame we hired a bunch of snowflakes that can’t stand up to adversity.

Sorry you got cut from BioOnc. No need to cry and whine about the MS Reps that still have jobs. Shows your character coming in this thread with that drivel.

You are such a prick. Ever hear of Karma? Trust me, you will get yours in the end. God doesn't like nasty people and you're one of them. All people want is a fairly equal opportunity here. That isn't much to ask for and it isn't happening here...yet.

I’ve been here for 12 years and I’ve never been more embarrassed as I am with the MS division. We are a bunch of whining cry babies.

You just answered it all for us! I couldn't agree more with all the other posts! You've been here at Genentech for 12 years, so certainly you were proactively given a great territory. You lost all credibility.

Of course I was given an important territory- I've had multiple sales awards and have only once finished outside the top 50%. Trust me they know what they are getting with me- and that can't be said for any of the external hires. Which for all the "experience" they supposedly bring they sure haven't been very impressive. And I'm not just talking numbers, none of you have brought anything really to the table. With the exception of few very little leadership- just opinions which most of the time are stupid. Just my opinion...but for the most part (not all) we hired a bunch of cry baby reps that oversold relationships and experience to get a job selling the most exciting product in MS.

Be careful giving accolades to all of the internal MS hires. Not all are stellar, and based on previous behaviors, some would have been fired by other companies. Be careful.

what we have here folks is a typical end result of a new franchise hiring "best in class" external hires with market/disease experience along with internal hires via the route of cronyism leading to an us vs. them attitude when the dust settles and the sales numbers start coming in. Another year from now things will settle out as those who feel duped will leave for greener pastures, those with bad attitudes will be squeezed out, a re-alignment might take place and whadda ya know, a generally content sales team. With the optimization process coming soon via BOLD, be glad you're with MS this year, it may get a little messy elsewhere here.

Top 50%?!?!!! Thank you for giving us all a laugh. Never would anyone provide the language "top 50%". Top 10, 15, or 20% perhaps. Your comments and posts such as using the word snowflake are quite obvious it is all coming from you. Get a life, loser.

The MS Franchise has AWFUL leadership. Amy VB was one of those “superstars” that Gene loves to label. One year she is Tom Klein’s food taster and then she follows the typical Gene pathway of being put in a variety of positions for a short period of time. Next thing you know, she is heading up a launch franchise in a new space. Her biggest mistake was putting E.L. in charge of marketing. He is a prototypical arrogant ass who came from Oncology where they sell in a market with minimum competition. He also carried that “superstar” label for whatever reason. If you look at Genentech products across the board, any market they are in that is competitive they fail miserably. RA hasn’t made a dent in that market but brings in revenue because the market is so big. Skin got clobbered because of awful leadership. It’s about time they cleaned up Oncology. My God, what do you people actually do every day!?! Plan your three lunches for the year?
Biogen is already outmarketing Genentech and taking advantage of their REMs status. Just keep in mind that the franchise VP had minimal experience at best.

TRUTH

The franchise is in desperate need for changes. There has NEVER been such an unfair disparity amongst territories worse than this! Unbelievable how some territories are showered with MS specialists and business and others given no potential at all with targets not even treating MS. Managers have completely favored preexisting Genentech employees in both superior territories and other opportunities.
If the territories are going to continue to be unfair, then go to the MBO system and share the wealth to all the hard working deserving reps. EVERYONE is talking about this! Horrible example to the whole industry.
MAJOR IMBALANCE of how employees are treated so differently around here. Must be nice to be given a major MS territory and get the motherload of bonus and then we all have to cringe as they get their excellence award because they were "better ". This is called crap.

This is absolute hogwash. I came from outside Genentech and have not seen managers "completely favoring" preexisting Genentech employees.

Unfair disparity? The goals are more than 50% team. Everyone is making money. We are all sharing the wealth.

If you actually work here, go away. We don't need you. Most of us are VERY HAPPY here. Its not a perfect place, but the managers are mostly good and the rewards are better than fair. If you don't actually work her, go away.

Troll.

Yes, that's right. You are a troll. You go away because you clearly aren't speaking for the majority, you idiot. Sharing the wealth? A team goal is temporary and doesn't help when the territories have been so unfairly created. It should be a complete team goal then when you don't even get credit for the vials your own doctor writes if they infuse in another territory. Tragically unfair.
