Management 101: job says pharmacology know pharmacology. If job says neuroscience know neuroscience. Let's put a biologist in charge of chemistry next. Put the head of marketing in charge of vaccines?

Classic example of the wrong people doing the wrong job. Good luck WP. Happy I moved on to compete with you. Our departments actually hire department heads with appropriate background. All with drug discovery record.


RV and team host meetings with small groups. Some people complain about the wrong things. Morale low? Solve-it! Change some leadership. This is how you motivate the scientists. And put scientists with knowledge and integrity in charge. Enough of the "yes sir/ma'am".
 






MRL needs to be cleaned from top to bottom. So many people are completely demoralized and really just showing up for pay checks. No more cutting edge science, no more pushing for publication and advancing the science, no more innovation regardless if the slogans and initiatives. The powers that be killed research here as we knew it. Started with BRGOS and continued with the ever changing initiatives and strategies and layoffs. This place needs to be repopulated with some people that have worked on the outside and know what it takes to get drugs discovered. No one left here that has a clue.

Most agree. Management needs such cleaning. Few have delivered to market, some not clue why they are here destroying. Merger killed us, different cultures and hostile. Who knew the Brits could be so different when it comes to making drugs?

No accountability, no oversight. For all the process and micro managing the top is oblivious to the poor state of WP. Morale down because employees stripped of respect, over worked and everyone falls in line due to constant threat of targeting.

Top talent in R&D left years ago. All that is left is the cogs that fit into the assembly line. Innovation was escorted out a few years ago along with anyone that didn't fit the mold. It's become a sad place to be, especially in WP.

Few have a clue - in agreement. The majority left and those making the cuts in middle management are just buying time. At WP only one ED with a drug to market experience, others wanna be. Politics at this level are incredibly high. Yes sir, is the way to go now for speaking up gets you in trouble. Send me back on the next plane.
