Medical Sales College. Is it for Real?

Nobody buys any of this propaganda BS. It is so transparent. Go market your "school" elsewhere.

I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for a refund, I can tell you I don't have money. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills; skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you stop the negative comments now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don't, I will look for you, I will find you, and I will enroll you.

While this is not the most reputable site, it is my job to maintain an active presence and to occasionally post responses. As I cannot control what is posted, who it is posted by or, for that matter, to what purpose, I can only try to provide accurate information from time-to-time…

Shortly after my last post, there have been a series of posts (namely on March 23rd and again this afternoon) with materials that have been copied and pasted directly from our website at www.medicalsalescollege.com or from our Course Catalog (also posted on our website).

What disturbs me is that the post from March 23rd is signed by Jim R. Rogers. Jim is, in fact, our Founder and CEO so that information is obviously correct. However, the fact that this was posted as if Jim had written it himself and the fact that we were subsequently attacked because our CEO posts on this site means that someone is trying to “pull the wool over your eyes” and is entertaining himself by doing it, as Jim himself DID NOT post.

I am the only person in our organization who provides responses on this site. Anything else must be taken with a grain of salt…

We have been asked to provide the full names of our graduates who have been successful. Because our graduates have had an EXCEPTIONAL month with placement activities (and because our students are aware that this information may be used and have given us permission to do so) I will concede…

Congratulations to:

We are extremely proud of this MOMENTUM, extremely proud of the way our students are able to take what they learn at MSC and reproduce it in the field, and extremely proud of the great activity that our placement services provider, EliteMed Recruiting, has been able to generate for our grads!!!

Don’t be fooled by the “naysayer” who is just trying to confuse you. I know I’m confused by this site…

Do go to the source for information – our website at www.medicalsalescollege.com, our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/medicalsalescollege or you may feel free to email or call me directly. I am happy to provide you with contact information for our graduates who can tell you about their experience – there are nearly 500 to choose from!

Until next time…

LOL. Well at least you have a sense of humor. "Taken" was a good movie, but the real ones taken are MSC's students.

Shannon, why are all these people saying MSC is a scam? It's hard for me to think that they would do that unless something is really wrong with your school.

This constant effort of the "uni-blogger" is most likely a former student of AIMS from 2008/2009 or a recruiter. The Medical Sales College is today the same business it was when it started in 2010! MSC is nothing close to the former AIMS that this person will lead you to believe. Interestingly, I know AIMS well because I attended, graduated and now am a regional manager with a major device company. I have hired several of their (MSC) candidates and will continue to do so. The main difference in my mind is two very important facts. First, MSC was structured differently than AIMS most notably they have no guarantees of placement. Next, when I was at AIMS they had 1 recruiter John! He was great, but in no way could handle the amount of students. MSC has a recruitment company that focuses with a much lower recruiter/student ratio. They have at least 10 recruiters that I know about! In addition, people since the origination of MSC in 2010 only attend MSC! They do not nor our represented by the former AIMS (which was out of business in 2009?)

If you are an interested student this is what I can tell you from my experience both as a hiring manager and former student. You have nothing to lose if you have confidence in your abilities. This BS about a "scam" is not only ridiculous but through reading one page of this thread you can see who the real "scam" is. Just watching the "uni-blogger" make statements such as "fake testimonies" or other ridiculous statements might be one of the funniest things I've ever seen. As if they (MSC), had the ability to create such a masterpiece of deceit through making hundreds of social media profiles, connecting with thousands of industry executives with fake profiles and pictures?

They (MSC) have a perfect track record without a single VERIFIABLE complaint through "real" channels not anonymous blogging. If they were a scam, it would be impossible to maintain such a PERFECT track record for "two straight years". All of this while placing an enormous amount of sales reps with some of the leading companies. 30+ placements this month? As the "uni-blogger" says, you decide!!

Thanks Shannon. I don't think there is only one blogger, and they do raise some good points like all the name changes, BBB complaints and job ads. I'll research more, but I do think there is a problem with your program.

Here is my take on all of this BS that has taken place on this blog. The school works. For those of you who don't think it works don't go. Continue to keep looking and trying to get in using the same tactics and strategies you have been using and failing with.Keep hoping that because you have a nice smile and nice suite I will get that job. Keep telling the recruiter you are working with, "If you can get me in front of the hiring manager, I will get the job." As the months an years go by, and you still have not had an interview or landed a job, you may want to consider the school. If not, go find a new career and give up on medical devices. Best of luck to you with your future endeavors.

"MSC is nothing close to the former AIMS." Was there something wrong with AIMS? Since AIMS "went out of business in 2009" as you put it, doesn't that make an AIMS education worthless now? Putting it on a resume would seem silly. What happens if MSC changes its name again?

Since it seems that most of the negative publicity may be coming from former students of AIMS, why doesn't Rogers et al just refund the placement guarantee to those who were unplaced with AIMS? Wouldn't this silence those who feel they were wronged? Since there surely could only be a handful (or as the pro MSC folks say only 1 angry student) wouldn't it be cost effective for MSC to step up and reimburse any and all students who were guaranteed placement their tuition? It would seem a small price to pay to potentially re-gain some credibility.

There are always references to the fact that MSC has no formal complaints, but it's undeniable that AIMS did have complaints. The fact that AIMS closed shop and then MSC opened up with the same leadership is akin to a crooked contractor who after building a bad reputation, moves to another town, changes the name on the side of his truck and continues with the same tactics.

Arguably, the two most popular threads on this site may very well be related to AIMS and MSC and the reputation of the schools and leaders. Shannon Marshall wants to discount the credibility of this site and claims that they are so incredibly busy enrolling and placing students. Why then offer any rebuttals at all?

What you wrote makes absolute sense, however, these Blue Chip/AIMS Recruiting/EliteMed/AIMS College/MSC people are much more comfortable with simply occasionally putting a new name on their shingle. They currently want to call their pile of manure "natural compost," but in the end it's still the same old horse shit.

Also, the fact that whenever they change their school's name, old certificates become invalidated, doesn't seem to bother Jim Rogers. What needs to happen here is MSC needs to close shop permanently. A leopard can't change its spots, just as Jim cannot change his spotty reputation.

Considering the college has been around since 2010 and yet to have any student complain is a good sign of the college. Add the additional recruitment team and momentum placing more than a student a day into medical sales is another good sign. Lastly, the Medical Sales College never has had a name change! You are referring to AIMS which was NOT a college and then the IDEA becoming the Medical Sales College! Keep living in 2008/2009!!!!

The college will keep placing and succeeding. Sorry for you mister!

OK, calling MSC "horse shit" might not be fair...to the horse. At least horse manure is cheap and has exceptional value to a gardener.

The certificate the Scarecrow received from the charlatan wizard at least landed the straw man a job in Emerald City. A $10,000 MSC certificate is more or less only good for wrapping fish and chips.

Stop equivocating (as usual). It doesn't matter whether or not you called AIMS a college, AIMS was a school, just as MSC is a school.

Two years without a complaint, nice! Your "college" has been around since 2010, that's some history! Soon your "college" will be in the ranks of a Harvard or Yale. That's if you don't have to change the name again. You go MSC!

Your argument is just plain dumb! There's no better way to describe it. AIMS hadn't had a name change either when in 2008/2009, and MSC could easily decide that it wants to change its name in the future too. Does that make it no longer legitimate? So anyone who went to AIMS was a fool and should have seen though the BS. Is that what you're implying? They signed up for something different than what MSC/Elite is offering? Wrong, the AIMS educational experience and placement efforts were similar to what MSC/Elite offers now and I'm certain that the motivation for attending AIMS was the same as for those who attend MSC. Sure AIMS shouldn't have offered placement guarantees, but they did. So they learned from their mistakes and now no longer offer the guarantee. Why don't they simply make it right for the people who didn't get placed with AIMS? Like it or not, AIMS was the legacy school that morphed into MSC. Besides, with the hundreds of placements that MSC brags about, surely they can afford to reimburse those who didn't get what was promised.

Also, defining MSC as a "college" requires the loosest definition of the word and is certainly intended to imply greater significance than it actually bestows. It's like describing my neighbor kids barbie jeep as transportation. The MSC degree is as much a toy as the jeep. You see, everything with these people is inflated. Take a look at their titles. Everyone is a "Senior Recruiter" or "VP" or "Director". Have you ever seen a group of more self centered people? With most organizations, an individual would have to prove themselves in a position for a considerable amount of time before the earn the title of Senior, Director, or VP of anything. It looks like some of these recruiters maybe never recruited prior to Elite.

Finally, your statement implies that there's a lot of difference b/w AIMS and MSC/Elite. There's not much more than an ounce of difference. Other than the location (Memphis vs. Denver) and the placement guarantee, there's no difference. Yeah, yeah, Elite is "totally separate" The tactics are the same and so are many of the key players who frankly are the source of all of this negative publicity. Rogers wife is a "Senior Recruiter"at Elite yet Elite is totally separate from MSC. Does that make sense to you? If so, I'll have my neighbor kid give you a ride to work tomorrow.

I 100% agree with this poster, and no, we are not the same people. Jim Rogers will someday have a name change. According to this link, he will be Goo Gobbler. http://www.prisonbitchname.com/

Shannon,

This is great stuff! Go MSC!!! You will notice they can't say anything about MSC...

Shannon,

The leadership has questionable ethics and a history of running at least one organization with major complaints. The current model is incredibly similar to the organization that generated this firestorm of negative press. Does it matter if they operate under MSC, AIMS, or any other moniker?

Shannon,

MSC responding to its own post, as usual.

I like the Barbie Jeep-transportation simile, however, MSC is more like a toy gun being passed off as a weapon of war. Armed with a useless certificate and a pep talk from Jim, most MSC grads are engaging in the battle of finding a job only to get slaughtered.

Let's face it, like all for-profit schools, MSC is non-selective. Their only criteria for admission is that one is willing and able to pay tuition. Because of this, some of their grads may get placed, but their masses of asses clearly do not. 81% placement is just another MSC lie.
