Lots of postings up for statin/cardiovascular jobs...any details?

I had my interview today and it went very well. It's actually for Crestor, so you're wrong but that's okay.
It was a very easy interview with behavioral questions and selling a product that's not a drug so be prepared. I'm sure you will all do fine. Just bring all of your rankings and brag books to share and I'm sure you will do great. I only had one interview with one DM.

Which state were you interviewing for? I still have not heard anything...

I interviewed today as well in the northeast. I felt like publicis did a good job with the hiring manager. on top of things, well organized but yet approachable and personable.
discussed resume history briefly, situational questions....make sure you think of all the situations that have arisen through your career so your answers flow easily and do not sound canned.
i felt confident walking out of the interview and definatley felt a click factor so we will see if the cards go my way.
The tide has changed with contract sales and there are alot of seasoned reps vying for these positions so they have alot of good people to choose from.
Good Luck to everyone!!!

I think it's just who is the best candidate. They are really looking for someone with statin experience because training is only one week of home study and then off to FL. The Mgr chuckled as they told me about the role play--apparently it's all formality but I made it fun and got a huge smile out of him.

With some companies, it's which candidate gives the best STAR answers. The answers are scored and sent to recruitment/HR and the hiring decision is based on that. The best candidate and the one chosen should e the one that has the best track record and experience, but it isn't always done this way..

Isn't it a sad commentary on the current state of the economy and our industry that there are over 6800 views and 120 posts about a job that pays just about 65K with targeted bonus at 20% and no company car?

Five or ten years ago most of us wouldn't have given this job a second look!

What's old is new again. I'll never forget back in the day when I had a company car, making 45 thousand a year...no stress and variable hours. I loved it! However I gotta feeling the stress part is a factor here to stay with these jobs offers geared towards contract pharma sales. IN THIS DAY and AGE~which we all knew was encroaching on our back door causing a plethora of panic and migration. We have settled.

Sad way to do things these days.I had a friend with SP,seasoned, successful rep,who left compant for 2 yrs. to try something different, didn't work out,and all of his former peers at SP,including DM'S,wanted him back.Had to take some kind of personality test, which he didn't pass, and was told sorry, but you can apply again in another year! A proven performer who everyone liked and respected and because he didn't x a few boxes correctly on the test, wasn't rehired.Might be part of reason SP was bought out.How stupid!!!!!!

I had my f2f yesterday and it went really well. The sales senario is really simple. If you can't get passed that part of the interview, you should not be looking at these types of jobs. As for the salary, I was told it would be close to what I am making now, but the mgr. told me high 50s or maybe 60 at the most. Anyone else get numbers yet? Without a car, it is pretty tough to be happy about 60...

That's what I was told, high 50's. The recruiter told me high 60's which is a big difference. Initially told this was a paying higher than most contracts.
