When you breakdown the benefits of this job, it is close to a 100k package for a 40hr a week job.

To say this is a bad job, is stupid, especially in this economy.

Publicis is a great company, and those of us that work here will tell you that.

I think you would be reporting to a publicis manager because they were hiring for those positions a few of weeks before the big upscale of rep postings. good luck to everyone interviewing. publicis is a great company

Speak for yourself. I've been in the unemployment line since January. Maybe you can afford to to sit on your lazy ass and pass on a potential paycheck but not everyone is so fortunate. Obviously you don't have anyone depending on you. Insanity is letting your pride get in the way of supporting your family. Bye the way, Fuck you!

Amen to that....all they are hiring anymore are DMs with less than 5 years experience anyhow. Sad because in this day, they should be looking to get experienced RMs and DMs in place who have a ton of hiring and counseling of reps in the past.

I had a friend in Chicago who has hired over 500 reps in his careeer passed over and a guy who was a DM for a year and had 30% turn over got the job because he knew the RD. Now that is just not smart for the company.

I too will not post even though I was a DM in BIG pharma for 10 years and ran three CV sales forces for two companies in Ohio

f2f = face to face

funny joke now -
blonde gets a text which includes idk
so she texts a friend & ask what does idk mean

friend text back
i don't know
so the blonde text back
omg no one knows!

haha

basic phone screen. talked about experience and basics about the position. no star questions. She/he will tell you if she/he is putting you through to the next round and you will be sent an email.

As a former PSS employee, I can tell you that these jobs are only worth it if you are:

a. desperate (unemployment is done).

b. want to break into a dying industry (bad move).

c. are not very good at sales (not a job for the ambitous).

I considered going back because there is nothing else out there, but I have decided not to do it, and take the unemployment until I find a real sales job.

If nothing comes up in 2 years (it should) and unemployement runs out, then I will look into it

This is the truth about these jobs, and conider this before applying.

Better, get out of pharma. It is a terrible way to spend your life, with fake people, doctors that are strange, and micromanagement up the ying yang.

It's not any better other industries. I was cut loose in Jan 10. Have had a few jobs in other industries, micromanagement and low pay and no benefits is what is out there. I went from 6 figures to 40k with no bennies. I was so micromanaged that I left. This contract may not be ideal but whether it's for a year or more at least I can have insurance and make some $$

I had a recruiter send approx. twenty questions I was to fill out and return to her within 24 hrs to be considered. Basic stuff about if you've sold statin in the past, documented sales results, etc. That was a couple of weeks ago. I was told the f2f would be in the first week of Sept. I haven't heard anything since.
