Layoffs?

No, the underlying problem is lack of a pipeline. If we were pumping out new, innovative, cost effective products we would not be contracting. There are other MD&D companies that are expanding and growing their business right now in spite of the upcoming MD&D tax.

What ESC needs is a bilateral dm-ectomy.

Please everyone, this is really all so simple. If your division is doing well, your DM will take credit for it and some of the reps will get ok reviews. If your division is doing poorly, all the reps will get bad reviews because it certainly can't be the DM's fault.

How many reps are there total among all 3 divisions?

If there are now 72 divisions and average of 7 reps per division...so, that is on average 504 sales reps nationwide. So, how many reps are getting cut? How many total reps do we have now???

I thought it was 70 divisions and 8-10 reps but I could be wrong. But we don't have 504 reps right now. If you look at sales excellence, we're right around 400 reps not including open territories.

Kip said on the call there are roughly 800 sales reps. If you take the 70 new divisions at 7 reps a piece you get 490. 310 reps give or take 5% will get cut.
Where are you getting 7 reps per? The DMs were told last week that there will be 8-10 reps per division. Also there are 72 divisions.. That is somewhere between 575-700 reps total..take out the 65 that will be placed in the newly created roles and you'll probably see somewhere around 100-125 reps displaced

Kip said on AVERAGE 7 reps per division. Some will have 6 reps, some will have 9 reps.

Anyone care to say what cities will be hit hardest

Let's see. NY, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, LA. Just a guess. I have no real information. Just typically where most companies have over-staffed because of the large number of doctors in those areas. Doctor count won't matter anymore. It's hospital count.
