The contract would be better if the syneos manager was set up just to approve expense reports. Now they are busy inventing work to justify their jobs. This is also why there is an internal pressure to keep logging call activity even if there is no call activity. Even before the virus there was not enough access to justify 2 reps. On paper it looks like too many for one rep to cover, but in the real world one rep could do the job under 40 hours in a week. Once they let us back into the field, there will be less access than before, and the entire industry will be over staffed with too many reps for the amount of doctors we can actually see.

Exactly! My Syneos manager makes more unnecessary work for me. All the managers need to do are to approve expense reports.
 




Approving expense reports is too taxing on my manager. It cuts into his couch time apparently. The man is useless. But he does forward important initiatives that his boss sends down to him and sometimes passes the initiatives off as his own. He must be exhausted from all the emails.

I am enjoying the free money to enter some fake calls into Veeva. No complaints here as this is the easiest part time job I have ever had. Covid made this job 10x better. Now I don't even have to get dressed and drive around to pretend I saw some doctors. I can fake it just as good from home.

This could end any month once the industry decides to see the truth of the new world we live in. Until then, feel very blessed to collect a paycheck for doing virtually nothing. Most people do much more and make much less. I have not had to leave my house to get paid for almost 5 months. 2020 will be a paid vacation. Once we have to return to work then I will start to use my vacation time again.
