Layoffs due to Coronavirus

Janssen already has a hiring freeze in place for their internal vacancies. The hope of any of us getting rolled into janssen are diminished. Our best option is to be employed at this crap company. I don’t see the point of all these Syneos managers on this contract. Seems like they can have a few managers to review expense reports but another layer of management shows how inflated the headcount is to downsize. As the writing is on the wall of whats to come the increased pressure comes first as if adding additional pressure will increase our access or impact and justify this over staffed mess.

In a short period of time this will implode. As managers try to increase the pressure, zoom metrics, and any other metric it is the hail mary play for management to salvage their positions and hold on as long as possible. managers can be cut now, and we can simply follow the lead of the Janssen manager
 
















The end of the year is historic for layoffs in the industry, and is the worst time to be unemployed. I have been downsized twice in my career, and both times were in December. Emotional stress of the holidays combined with lack of hiring during the holidays because all the hiring managers are on vacation. this time may be a mass displacement of contract reps plus manufacturer reps that flood the market simultaneously. this will ultimately force many out of this industry forever as their are less seats at the party.

You would think that would encourage people to stop posting stupid videos on social media during work hours.....
 




The stupid video during work hours would be 2 sales reps waiting on a zoom call for 1 hour talk to a provider for 5 minutes. The only reason 2 of us are on a call is because we both need a call metric, and if the company were to metric individual calls with only one sales rep they would realize how few calls are really being made.

Contract termination to occur second week of November with salary to be paid through December.
 












The industry will eventually adapt to the virus, and this will probably mean less reps as there is less access. Many accounts won't open back up even if a vaccine was available tomorrow.
 












Im on the Janssen derm contract and our sales have increased since we have been out of the field. Doesn’t make since to have 2 reps per territory with sales numbers like this and minimal interactions with providers.

Reps staying at home and not bothering the doctor during clinic hours resulted in more sales? This shows the value we don't provide. You can have an entire sales force sit at home and sales are fine.

This is so true as I sit here collecting a paycheck while watching TV all day. The free ride is about to end for many of us in the entire industry.
 




The Syneos contract I’m on has had us back in the field for Many weeks now and they are even pushing us to do live speaker programs. I’m stunned at how reckless and irresponsible these people are.
