Lantheus Medical Imaging

You sound a bit paranoid. What I still don't understand is this; if on a given Tuesday (or my case a Thursday) 25-50 got the boot. They are off site before you know fully who has been impacted. How am I to offer my support or show that I care or am not a snake etc? I have the ability to contact perhaps one or two which I do and wish them well. If there is a get together I attend. How does my staying show how I feel, or let anyone know my situation, or my reasons for staying etc? It's a #%^# business. Good bad or indifferent. It doesn't promise lifetime employment. I knew that once the layoffs started it is the luck of the drawer if you get hit or not.

They are not looking at names like a hit list, they say we need 2,000,000 in salary. So I need 400,000 from marketing, 250,000 sales, 200,000 operations etc. they get a list of positions from each group and saleries and say, cut,cut,cut,...

What I don't understand is if you folks that are doing all the whining, are still,there..leave if your that unhappy. If your gone, what does it matter who is there? I wish them well. I don't know how many I would even know now, but it doesn't Impact me that they are working there.

I spent 24 plus years, the far majority of the folks I met were decent, good folks. My last year or two my manager was an ass. But that is also luck of the drawer.

A lot who post here should get some help if your this bitter after you no longer work there, or quit if you work there and are this upset..

I agree, and made a similar post upthread. It is a miserable place to work, and they have run it into the ground. Most of the good people have left one way or another. And most of the assholes have been there for a long time (RG, BD, etc). They aren't new, and they didn't create the problem. They have survived, and they might add to it, but if Avista hadn't been so greedy, and if the sr managers going back even before BD had been prudent about their reliance on BVL, it would be a different story. Now, if you ask me how BD and MW and a few others survived the stockout fiasco, which they knew was a risk at LEAST back to 2007, then I don't know- they certainly should have addressed the BVL risk back when there was money.

All that said, I am among those who left and have been happier ever since.

What has gone on over the years at LMI, which began the year that preceded BMS' exit, has changed the site in a way that is beyond repair. Or at least beyond the ability to recreate the atmosphere that existed there for many, many, many years. The process of laying people off is nowhere near as objective as you think. Anyone privy to what goes on in "leadership" circles knows how cut throat, back stabbing, and vindictive these egomaniacs can be. Plenty of people let go were in fact part of a hit list. Not everyone but plenty. Yes there were qualified, hard working people that got the boot simply because they were not in the good graces of the powers that be. At this point there are fewer people in the category of "enemies of the state" because people got the message and kissed ass, sucked up or simply shut up and ignored what they knew was unfair and even wrong. There is nothing left there but a workforce looking out for themselves, That's a far cry from the culture that made the place so successful and such an enjoyable place to work at. That's a thing of the past and will never exist there again. And frankly I could care less cause I'm no longer there. But don't preach that everything that's been done there has been an objective, above board, sterile decision. Cause it just ain't so.

Good Point. You are right and I am sure there was some let go as payback-However It really is very few in comparison to those let go for budgetary purposes.

Very tempting.

Do they still have leaks in the filling room?

Really? Thats the tact you want to take now? To see if the FDA can shut them down? To the people that lose thier jobs, what about them? I spent a lot of years there and did not realize how many petty people actually worked there.

Its a Business. Business does not gurantee you a job for life. Move on, nothing to see here. But no, you rather run the risk of screwing everyone there? Grow Up Folks, and move on

The loss of jobs would be quite tragic.

However, Avista continues to extract money while creating a terrible environment which puts patients and customers at risk. There is money there, but Avista takes it all.

So let's turn that around: For the sake of Avista's profits and a few shitty jobs, you're OK with producing unsafe product?

The FDA won't shut down a company making appropriate decisions.

FDA doesn't go around shutting down companies. This place will have to shot itself in the other foot, face, head and heart before it stumbles to death...and they could be closer to that than anyone knows cause they're darn so secretive and slick . But they will continue to do whatever is necessary to keep the place on life support in hopes of eventually dumping it on someone else. Beware, there are more shit storms to come.

Aholes like BD might not have originally created all the problems that exist there but he surely has compounded and added to them, through both incompetence and abuse of power. He has stayed in place by blaming others as a way of deflecting responsibility. He has also set up, screwed and eliminated people he was afraid might out him through responsibly doing their jobs. Everyone knows he has insulated himself by surrounding himself with ass kissers that report back to him any imminent threats to his existence. He'd have been canned by any reputable company long ago but not by the dumb asses at LMI.

I won't be satisfied until the little man in Safety is gone and the VP of Mfg. These two think they are above it all. Rat finks to the nth degree. Bend over boys, your time is coming. Nothing lasts forever.

Being intentionally F-O by those that abuse their power and positions sucks. Getting away from these kinds of people is truly a blessing, even though the separation may have come at a cost to you and caused you pain. Be glad they can no longer influence your present and future circumstances. Their fate, be it better or worse, will have no bearing on your circumstances. What goes around, truly does come around. We may not always witness the outcome but trust that it will be done. By the way, the payback usually comes in a totally different way from the abuse that was doled out, but creates at least as much pain as was inflicted. The universe works in strange ways but the laws of cause and effect always apply. Count your blessings and move on with making a happy life knowing the universe has done you a favor by getting these people out of your life.

I second that!

Every person I've come across that once worked there is happy to be gone, whether they were tossed out or left voluntarily. Nearly everyone I've come across that's still there says the place still sucks. The most complimentary comment I've heard about the place is that "its not as bad as it was". And frankly, I think that person was afraid anything they said might get back to the powers that be. Be glad this place is in your rear view mirror.
