Lab Owner Convicted in $463 Million Genetic Testing Scheme to Defraud Medicare
A federal jury in the Southern District of Florida convicted a Georgia man today for his role in a scheme to defraud Medicare by submitting over $463 million in genetic and other laboratory tests that patients did not need and that were procured through the payment of kickbacks.

According to court documents and evidence presented at trial, Minal Patel, 44, of Atlanta, owned LabSolutions LLC (LabSolutions), a lab enrolled with Medicare that performed sophisticated genetic tests. Patel conspired with patient brokers, telemedicine companies, and call centers to target Medicare beneficiaries with telemarketing calls falsely stating that Medicare covered expensive cancer genetic tests. After the Medicare beneficiaries agreed to take a test, Patel paid kickbacks and bribes to patient brokers to obtain signed doctors’ orders authorizing the tests from telemedicine companies. To conceal the kickbacks, Patel required patient brokers to sign contracts that falsely stated that they were performing legitimate advertising services for LabSolutions.

The telemedicine doctors approved the expensive testing even though they were not treating the beneficiaries and often did not even speak with them. From July 2016 through August 2019, LabSolutions submitted more than $463 million in claims to Medicare, including for medically unnecessary genetic tests, of which Medicare paid over $187 million. In that timeframe, Patel personally received over $21 million in Medicare proceeds.

Patel was convicted of one count of conspiracy to commit health care fraud and wire fraud, three counts of health care fraud, one count of conspiracy to defraud the United States and to pay and receive illegal health care kickbacks, four counts of paying illegal health care kickbacks, and one count of conspiracy to commit money laundering. He is scheduled to be sentenced on March 7, 2023, and faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison on the first conspiracy count, 10 years on each health care fraud count, five years on the second conspiracy count, 10 years on each kickback count, and 20 years on the third conspiracy count. A federal district court judge will determine any sentence after considering the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other statutory factors.
 












They need to make sure Sonal is investigated. Minal might be the head guy but alot of people got rich off of stealing from the government including Sonal Jariwala and her brother Tushar Narottam. They both were part owners in the company. They both bought multi million dollar mansions in Atlanta and are driving around range rovers. This is stolen funds. They need to be indicted and thrown in prison as well.

Government will have to pay for their housing and food, etc.
Their prison is different from real prison. These white collar crime people get vip prison.
If they are free, it helps out all the high end stores like Louis Vuitton, Ferrari, Gucci, etc. and they create so many jobs.
They did not hurt anyone.
They stole from the government.
All the senators and house of reps and government officials steal money from the government daily.
So FREE Minal and all others involved.
 












Sonal used LabSolutions equipment and opened up another lab (United Labs or something in the same address). Sonal then paid per specimen for covid testing referrals which is a clear kickback. Sonal was screening schools and workplaces for perfectly healthy people and then billing those same unnecessary covid tests to HRSA and insurance carriers.

These people need to go to prison because leaving them out is costing more money.
 






I think the lab Sonal opened and ran was called Serenity Laboratories LLC. It was in Minal’s dad’s name but Sonal ran it. She paid kickbacks for covid testing referrals and was screening anyone she could get her hands on.

It only costs $70,000 for a federal inmate in prison. The Patels are bilking Medicare, HRSA and insurance plans for hundreds of millions each year. They should all be imprisoned.
 






So apparently Sonal’s little plan to buy a private jet (since her husband is a pilot) and flee the country didn’t pan out as she planned since Minal didn’t get a bond during his appeal. Sonal laundered so much money in that private jet to set the Patels up in India.

If Sonal does get indicted (which is likely) she will flee to India on her private jet (just like Satary did). She’s ready to out run the feds. She’s had lots of time to plan.
 






Someone needs to tip off the FBI/DOJ so Sonal can be investigated. This individual above has alot of information and definitely can put this criminal behind bars. She deserves prison. Atleast tip off local news stations and outlets so this crime can be brought to light.
