whats going on in womens health now? I heard layoffs.

I heard layoffs too, but i think it is just a rumor…Women's Health at Merck has historically been the most teflon division in the whole company…the CTLs have jobs for life, (despite the fact they do nothing and are worthless) and the reps rarely, if ever lose their part time catering gigs…

If there was ever a safe place at Merck, it is Women's Health.
 




These same scum-bags get on here every year to stir it up: "...layoffs coming." Yeah, right. There are no layoffs. End of story. If you've got too many overlays there may be a reduction in that territory but not a whole scale layoff like we've seen in the past. Sorry to burst your bubble scum-bags. You've been up to this for a lot of years. You keep moving the dates further and further back. If it's not July, it's October. If it's not October, it's December. When that doesn't happen, it becomes January. Bore me to death.

Is it performance or reach and frequency? team 3 rep here and after hearing vp at a recent regional meeting it was confirmed that an "event" took place several weeks back. he said the asymmetrical deployment would be ongoing. it sounded like it would happen due to access and/or profitability. so any worries or celebrations if you are the bottom or top of the pack performance wise? or just if you can't access customers or have a low volume area?

So you are saying the company 'plants' are about to shuffle again? It is so obvious who they are and what they do. Sort of a hidden assignment analyzing span of control, metrics, fit and feasibility. Ever notice when they move on people are either fired or promoted. HQ calls them the house cleaners, very slick, connected and are now assessing ctl's. Sooooo obvious, you won't find these gigs posted on Career Link.

After a house cleaning ctls seem to have a quick hire situation with a contract. Its sure seems most get picked up almost overnight. Not so with the reps.

Wake up, things are happening quickly. First the good news with placements then boom, displacement calls all taking effect by July. Behind closed doors deals and assessments, those complacents might get the fated call. This is real, make some phone calls and be informed.

I am somewhat suspicious of another July Layoff because of the 2015 bonus structure. Bonus is a 6 month bonus like it was last year when we had mid year layoffs. Only 2 times in 20 years that I've seen bonus payout at 6 months--2014 and 2015. Also manager is telling us to spend the budgets that she gave us. She does not appear to be concerned about saving for the back half of the year. Just looks suspicious. We were saying this same thing last year, and we were right. Hope I'm wrong--would like to hold on a little longer.
