Job Openings for Gattex

Sorry they didnt call you and now you have to pretend to be part of it all. Its a shame...you seem to have a great imagination and we could probably use a guy like you in marketing. Enjoy your Television.

I was called but the couldn't afford me and learning who is managing the soon to be hired sales team I am very glad I am out. Only thing I wanted to market was how to sell my sperm globally. Wish everyone here now and in the future the greatest Karma success can provide, I am sorry I was an asshole before but you can't fault me because I have a lot of skin in the game and only want the best for Gattex not fodder and swill that good old boys esp. the Ding-A-Lingle-ing brings to the management table.

Anyone that will hopefully sell Gattex will be underpaid and you were taken advantage of that because of the poor market that is apparent in pharma now. Would recommend to sell your sperm on the open market to supplement your income.

i thought these posts were monitored? this is garbage.

You can't handle the truth.

No, I am not moving forward either and yes, I am disappointed as anyone would be, Gattex is going to offer real hope for SBS pts. but it was not ment to be for me and I am fine with that but to call posters who are venting garbage on CP isn't fair and reflects your management style you stupid Ding-a-Lingle-ing, that's what CP is all about.

After completing training everyone will receive a Vo-Doo doll embossed with Gattex on the front and NPS on the back so you can take your frustrations out a bit easier when sales aren't happening. Also, I just got an order to make up tee-shirts that have a picture of a bowel on the front and a pile of shit on the back but you could have done a bit better with the statement, "SBS Got you Down? GATTEX not your girlfriend dummy"

SBS got you down? (Is that Sperm backup syndrome?) Try Gattex not your girlfriend.

That is very funny, keep it (coming), lol.

Really getting stupid now. The offers have been good and fair. They are taking the best. We know who our competition is in the way the interviews are set up. Your correct in that some management seems weaker than others but still solid. HR pretty much big pharma but what do you expect. Dir of Sales typical UBC guy. We will be successful because of who we are and out relationships. Congrats to all who made it. Look forward to hearing about Florida folks. Thanks NPS

Doubt if this poster actually has an offer, but what is most notable is his poor spelling and poor grammar.

Only 24 offers dumb ass. If you think I am that stupid then you tell me how they did all the interviewing. Someone in my group already told my current employer that I am interviewing!! Great

This is a serious crap show. The interview process is a joke. Come in, meet with a few people for a formal interview, and then play rep in a simulation. Yep---that's the UCB way, the best analysis of how well a person can sell. And there is NO WAY I would ever work for Marc C , ex-UCB. He will make your life a living Hell. No idea how this guy was hired. Kinda scary actually. He makes Stalin look like Mr Rogers. No Thanks. I'm staying put.

How about Mansfield? You think they actually thought this whole thing through? Interesting at it's best. My best to the Tuesday group because today was a disaster!

It's the UCB model for interviewing all over again...and you see the results of that. Management depicting themselves as true biotech, orphan drug yet treating the candidates like they are interviewing for a primary care position. Crappy amount of sign on stock options, horrible car reimbursement and Mickey Mouse interview process. I'm employed and not desperate..staying put for now...

It is amazing how immature some people are. The process was fine and I actually got to meet with several people from the company which gave a good idea of the overall company culture as opposed to just one persons view. The sales simulation was kind of silly but it forced me to learn a lot more about the product and it was only 15 minutes out of a 5 hour day. Those complaining really just need to grow up.

Don't disagree, but I do not think the process they used benefits the company in finding the right people to launch a product that will have challenges because of what happens when patients are on the product and the education of everyone involved to have treatment successes. Just an opinion.

Very well said. This is not complaining or any need to grow up. This is true of the process and the management. They are not biotech and have no orphan drug background except the guy from the south. You can complain and that is ok, but also realize the people who take the job want to believe and should be able to believe they are making a good move. If you don't agree and stay put just sit back and watch from the sidelines.

Sounds like you are out of work. Best of luck and hope your company culture stays the same with your call reporting, role plays, and rah rah. Don't forget the SBS patients!!

Why was the HR lady asking questions in the role play today? That was weird. Also I was thinking about if the marketing guy really knew the market. Anyone else feel that way?

The interview process was no different than what I went through at UCB a few years ago, role play and situational interviews which are not realistic and showed a real lack of experience by the interview teams. Why was I told that selling orphan drugs would be a huge step up in my career because if this was true then anyone that has sold an orphan drug has an overinflated ego, think selling orphan drugs is no different than selling Advil.

I think this gig will will be short lived maybe 2 years and a buy out, which is a big gamble with so few options offered and pay/bonus is a lateral move, for get it.

Sorry Mark and Cindy but I have thought about this and I just don't feel it's the right thing to do for me and my family now, no warm and fuzzy feelings after the freak show interview process, will call you later.

HR will have no say in the hiring process, just there to make certain interviews conducted without any prejudice. Agree with the marketing assessment. That's the scary part does the company actually have a good handle on the size of the market. Upon initial launch the uptake by the docs will be fairly slow. Will need to address questions around reimbursement, patient co-pays, specialty pharmacies etc to a fairly naive audience of docs. If the expectations around market size and potential are not realistic this could get ugly fairly quickly. I'm still in..lots of potential here..
