Six weeks into the mandate now. It’s been a painful reminder that the only reason I’d tolerated my job up to now was that I didn’t have to be around my loudmouth jackass coworkers every single day.

Surely Bob’s been on site every single day since the mandate began. Surely he wouldn’t think he was exempt from his own policy and would want to lead by example, right?

I did too! Hired as remote and told I would have to go in. Leaving was the best decision I have made.

I heard one of the general managers of Abbott is remote. Apparently her secretary commutes several hours from another city for 5 days. We in the office have to hear about her team bitching about her every day. Don’t worry about it - stay your ass remote.
