InVentiv Contract

This is the ONLY post in this string that makes any sense and is truthful. All of the other BS posts are just to scare people and slam inVentiv. Obviously posted by some disgruntled prior employee who felt entitled to more than they deserved.

Wrong. Most of the other negative threads were probably written by the same jerks (you?) who look for the worst possible case scenarios or just to stir up shit.

For someone just acquired or thinking of joining MNK, just look at the press releases and the financial reports. They will give you the real answer and not some tool on CP.

You don't even know me but chose to call me a "jerk". First of all I did not write the previous posts. Secondly, many if us see the writing on the wall. Thirdly, how is the koolaid tasting. Because eventually it will become a bit sour.

It's fine to post your opinions. But name calling is not ok. Go back to work calling on your ST list!!!

Regardless of whatever you say moron...and actually any of you, I WILL NEVER take a contract position. I have been in the industry for almost 20 years and have never been below the top 15%. Yes, I've been with companies where there have been layoffs, but I know I have been lucky not to have ever been laid off. With that said, I will never go with a temporary contract job ever. If it ever came to that, I will walk away from this industry forever and be fine with it.
 






Our team ( numerous ventiv reps )was just reprimanded for not having enough stupid web programs.

I agree with you about web programs. They are completely useless and no longer attract anyone that's going to make a difference. My manager says to do them just for "show" and I honestly think it is a waste of company resources. Territories are different, but in my territory the only ones that show up to dinners are the same ones that always come. Dinners are no longer events physicians are excited about going to especially when they can't bring their significant other and they have such little time with their families to begin with.
Once again, it is marketing departments trying to justify their positions be developing these stupid web programs. No one wants to come to these stupid things anymore...no one.

You know what I would like to see? When these moronic marketing people get on stage and do a "physician marketing survey," the survey should be...would you be willing to go out to a dinner program...98.9% NO!
 






You select the best rated restaurant in your area and present the invite to the HCP's M.A. or Nurse. Let the staff member know they can attend if they can persuade the provider to RSVP.

It's a zero out of pocket incentive award for staff and perhaps both learn something of value to apply to their patients.
 






Web programs are a joke! It's a check the box thing you have to do. Managers are a joke! Why do they ride with us?? They know we don't work the same when we are with them. These managers are useless!! They hire you because they have confidence in you but then they ride with you every month. I hate it!!!!!!!! Aaaaaahhhhhh!!!!!! Classic line" what you got going on tomorrow?? You mind if I tag along???"" Of course I do you dumb ass!!!

Too any people hired with the expansion,acquired 2 family small companies, the second one with issues, and nothing great in the pipeline.

As the previous poster stated " you are an idiot" enjoy the ride...although it will become very bumpy in the next few months.

You couldn't be more wrong. There will always be upcoming new biotech companies wanting the best of the best and they will be willing to pay for them. This will not change. There is a huge difference between a great rep with proven consecutive a years of president club awards etc. Versus the mediocre rep. These days all the top companies such as Genentech, Celgene, Amgen etc. Will dive deeply in your background and will want proven documented and consistent high sales. They specifically ask for yearly ranking and won't accept general responses. Contract reps are for the average performers at best. Especially in a launch, a great company would never hire contract reps.

One more thing......I have several friends in the industry and not one of them is a contract rep. The only contract reps we know are sample droppers with no skillset.

So true. This usually doesn't happen; additionally several DMs have left over the past fewonths, and many reps have left as well.
