Intermune

So the question is how much to make it worth you while to come to Intermune? 100k? 200k? 300k? For 1 year of work..... Will be very interesting to see who makes the jump.

Whatever value is offset that by unemployment. Management will tell you oh don't worry they'll bring you over. Problem is its gonna be Hitler style management at a big pharma company. No thanks.

Y'all straight up dumbasses. You see the data BI drug vs. Intermune? Its a dam tie. Neither has advantage. BI has mortality data. Not significant. Intermune had to pool a bunch of other studies to get the mortality data it is not "clean". FDA may not let Inter use mortality data anyhow.
If you pool the data of BI's drug like IM did, than on a pure head to head basis, Nintedanib FVC decline was 54% vs. placebo, that is superor to Pirfenidone

Good luck selling this 50/50 drug. Don't let management tell you anything different. It's a coin flip. Sales are gonna suck post launch 6 mos. They will be flat. Stock will go down.

You better get RSU's, fuck them options. You will not make money on options. You heard it here 1st.

I agree with some of your statements. The stock package being put together for the sales team is disappointing to say the least. Hypothetically, if the company is sold in 6 months, reps are looking at a paltry 60k payout.

I will say it for the 5th time. If you are crazy to come to this company unless you are unemployed, about to be unemployed or are stuck in PC. If you have a specialty sales or mgt job and are in a decent situation stay put. Not worth the risk.

Intermune gonna get what they deserve. Every shitty ass rep in our respiratory division here at Novartis trying to interview. Gonna be funny when 40 different reps have on their resume they won sales award for last couple years. Hmmm 8 spots yet 40 ppl have on their resume??
You guys know who you are.
To say 75% of these reps are morons is understatement.

A couple morons bragging they passed some psych test. Watch when you speak with them. They will be bumbling baboons that couldn't sell shit to any pulmonologist.
If you rely on this crap psych test to hire these bafoons then your company is a total clown show and will be bought out for 18 not 68. These reps blow. I know cuz I work with them. Genentech does most of work. Though 80% of them arrogant ass wipes.
It takes 2 people to sell one drug?? Lol
Me and my Gtech partner take every other week off that why I'm not interviewing.
This a cake job. Plus I gotta lot wrapped up w vartis. Intermune could give me 10,000 shares and I wouldn't leave.
Stock gonna fall.
Like everybody say BI drug just as good. Revenues for either company won't pass 500mill in best year.

Alkermes is climbin in your window
They snatchin your people up. You don't have to come and confess you don't like Alkermes
They're lookin for you
They gon find you, we gon find you
So you can run and tell that to your current company,
Run and tell that to them
Run and tell that, homeboy

*Meant to say Intermune! DAMN!

This is why I said months ago on this thread BIs deep and long term relationships with many people in various areas in respiratory, FDA, regulatory expertise, etc will be a game changer. All you "sales reps" who post on here do not fully understand how powerful this can be especially when you compare it to a start-up company going in alone. BI will prevail in this race on time to market and product revenue it's just a matter of how much and how big.

IMO Intermune will not get bought out. They will have a below average launch (but not a bad one) then really struggle when both products are attempting to hit their stride in the market. Relationships at all levels are HUGE when ACOs/Medical plans/physicians/formulary decision makers are indifferent.

Boehringer's lung drug wins FDA 'breakthrough' tag

Boehringer Ingelheim's treatment for a rare and deadly lung disease picked up the FDA's coveted breakthrough therapy designation, a mark that guarantees a speedy regulatory review and could help the company beat its nearest rival to market. The drug, dubbed nintedanib, is a therapy for idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), an often fatal disease that scars the lungs and stands in the way of oxygen absorption. In two Phase III studies on more than 1,000 patients, Boehringer's treatment reduced patients' annual rate of lung-function decline by 48% and 55%, compared to just 5% in the placebo arm.

MOOOOOOOOOO
MOOOOOOOOOO

I'm going next week to Phoenix but having second thoughts. I come from Pulm so have experience but I heard from colleague who was there, they are doing a cattle call approach.

Also, is it true if you are going this week and next, that you are the 2nd & 3rd choices? They just let me know last week. If their 1st choice flames out then they will go down line til somebody accepts.

I IV'd with BI last week. Their benefits package is very very strong. Plus they got other divisions. Won't get bought out. They are offering up to 125K which isn't bad.
I'm moving to 2nd round also next week with BI but I don't have to fly to Phoenix.

Right now, I am heavily leaning BI since I won't have to worry about the unemployment thing and getting screwed on the stock options if it falls below 45.

Thoughts?

absurd to make us fly all over the place ...

makes one see that this is not a true 'start up' -
but rather a worn out replay of the past before linked in and
skype -

so if they are stuck in the 80's with the interviewing process -
it is a fair guess that they are also stuck with all the other execution of
a launch - no one there to lead - just guessing using old paradigms??

BI is the one to go with and yes their package is better - !!

Has anyone from Indiana been Phone screen by manager? Other then the recruiter for the position. If so anyone heading to Phoenix next wk?

no but found out in my area there are 4 different reps for 1 spot going. They are keeping everybody's ass "warm" in case their 1st doesn't pan out or 2nd. They will not allow negotiations in anything once offered made. You take it or leave it is what I was told.
Don't bother closing. The managers said no offers til mid August.

Funny, BI has 50 of their field force already hired.

Intermune has not hired 1 person yet. If no offers til August that means start date won't be until September.

I heard most BI reps were rolled over from their hospital division. There were only about 15 spots left for outside reps.

Interview locations are based on geographies and they started for at least FL last week, maybe others as well. Many geographies are going this week to Phoenix and the other geographies are going to Dallas the week of August 4th. Most territories will have two candidates for a max of two interviews on their interview date. If you are asked to stay for the second, you are the first choice.

Offers are supposed to be made by mid-August with a September hire date.
