If your happy and you know it...

In every company, will leave for better opportunities, different industries, high salaries and perks. But the turnover existing at Taro is not common folks. There's a problem. Someone at the top needs to look into Taro turnover, and the reasons for it. This has been going on for some time
and HR ignores the issue.

A big problem needs to be addressed here.

There is a pandemic going on and you ungrateful desk jockeys are harping that the company is not fair. There are 20 more qualified people out there who will gladly take your place and not spent half of their working life on CP. Baby Talk and her minions' noise is real old. You want free food, work at a food bank and see if its better than your current situation?

Why wouldn't there be a high turnover if all these old bullies are still sitting here and not planning to move on? They bullied away most of the good talent and keep doing so - either directly or with help of some nasty mid-level managers (second generation of bullies). HR , start cleaning Taro from the top!

Very true on the 3rd floor. Saw many people who were nice and respectful when they came onboard now rude, annoyed and nasty. Almost looks like you don't have a choice in this company- become bully like your boss or leave.

2nd floor, Finance - same thing.

I don’t think anyone is to blame, some bosses might be a little rough under the collar, but that is life. Covid has a lot of us on edge. You people have no idea about stuff at home that might trigger us to anger during the day. Some of our kids, marriages, families have taken a hit due to the pandemic. How about HR showing a little empathy. There have been no morale boosts since we returned.

Shame on you who wrote this- looks like one of those bosses trying to use Covid as excuse for being nasty.
If you manage people you have no right to unleash your emotions on people reporting to you!!
We all may be having tough time now staying home with kids, spouses, dogs, cats etc., but as manager you must be especially sensitive and keep your anger under control.

Agree. Some bosses at Taro still live somewhere in 80s with "boss is always right and can do anything he/ she wants" attitude.

It all comes back to HR. Employees should be able to file official complaints on their supervisors and do it without fear of retaliation. It is HR's job to ensure actions are taken against nasty managers.
It is also HR's job to keep confidentiality of such complaints and protect employees who filed it.
This is how it's done in good companies.

No excuses. Leave the drama at home.
Managers are paid to act professionally at their level.
Nobody wants to hear - nor they should hear - about their problems at home.
It's their job to lead by building morale - not by destroying it.

There is an excuse. I am going through a rough divorce. Would be nice to have a bagel with my colleagues to boost my morale.

I don't believe filing official complaints on your manager will work out well for you while you are still with the company. Even if HR did a good job. Just because in companies of Taro size it's hard to keep confidentiality. Your nasty boss will do everything to call the complainer out and make your life miserable.
However, if you are on your way out (congrats!), exit interview is your chance to tell all the truth about your manager and working conditions! Do it for the sake of your colleagues who have to stay and keep working under that miserable person!
