Idorsia contract

I think it’s unanimous. The sooner we get out of this place the better. This drug is nothing special and they all will continue writing Trazadone. I have not seen any excitement when talking generically about insomnia. They hate writing controlled substances and nobody really writing many DORA’s as a whole. In addition, the expectations here are BS. We’ve only been here two months and the micromanaging is laughable.

I am not the original poster. But for me: They have unrealistic expectations that we can see HCP's without a product or samples. They are spending a lot of money in areas that don't help us. The lunch budget is not enough for a launch or to get in front of customers. No one seems super impressed that there is a new Insomnia drug in the market. The coverage is going to be bad. Too many meetings and too many ride alongs so far during just the unbranded stage. Anyone else feeling this way or seeing other things?

I agree with you 100%. This has turned out to be too micromanaged. I also heard that there will not be any samples until at least 2023, if we make it that far.

I'm not on this contract, I'm was just wondering is this the "specialty sales representative" openings that are all over the place? The job description in the listing says "experience in psych/PCP/ sleep disorders preferred" and there's literally like a million openings.

This sounds like a nightmare, I've been on shit contracts before as well. Hang in there.

Like I said, not on the contract just curious.

Horrible all around. The expectations upon launch are INSANE. Only paid on targets, health insurance cost is outrageous, car is a small Ford Escape and the morale here sucks. Getting out.

Agreed with the previous post. The base salary is extremely low and not competitive with any other so-called specialty positions. Regardless if this is a highbred specialty and primary care position. It is highly likely that a lot of those that were hired were as a result of being displaced elsewhere in Pharma.

with that said, a lot of times we have to except the very best position we can at the time. For most this is a temporary position 1 to 2 years at best. Unless the parent company decides on direct hires versus contract. Beginning to see that this is just like any other Pharma company

I went after the DM role and made it to the final round before losing out to the other candidate. I think my perspective that this was going to be a tough sell and you need someone that will encourage and support their team throughout the process was not what they wanted to hear. Just document your efforts for future opportunities. Best of luck!
