Idorsia contract

A real shit show! People waiting around for 2/3 hours, just to be told no thanks. DMs acting like it's a Golden opportunity with a 3rd to class, that most doctors will NEVER write. Again, it is a contract job. With a company most have never heard of! No real loss here, I promise. Nice DM from NC. Liked her. Would have worked well with. I guess she thought differently. Common occurrence on these types of gigs, hiring manager does not want someone with too much experience and knowledge, fear of being schooled is real in these contract managers
 






What is the consensus regarding the possibility for a roll over from Syneos and being a direct hire for Idorsia. The question was asked to ABD's and since there were ABDs from different parts of the country what did you hear? I heard no and that they would hire different sales teams thru Syneos for each product launch since the products were for different specialties and therapeutic areas. Questions longevity for this contract if true.

I was told opposite by the district and regional managers. Both said they were looking to roll reps to direct eventually. It sounded like it would be based on performance.

I asked and the answer was no, we would not get a rollover. I was also told the products idorsia has in the pipeline are specialized and that we would have the opportunity to interview for those positions, but most likely new contact sales teams would be formed as new products come down.

What is the highest salary they can or will offer
Cafe Pharma is definitely not the place to get a serious answer, but if this helps, I was asked by recruiting for a range that was acceptable and I said 85-90, then asked if that was within correct range and told that it was. Offer was of course 85.
 












This seems to be more of an opportunity to get in, perform well, build business, and use as a stepping stone to obtain a real neuro,psych, etc specialty job.
(As a direct hire).
Most base salaries are well within 120-140k for specialty.
Do this for a year or so, and then try for something bigger.
I'm thinking most in contract "get this" , and mgmt definitely understands.
