Idorsia contract

Over qualified may scare most of these managers, now it all makes sense.

You hit the nail on the head, where do they get these people from? These managers have NO experience in the sleep space. They are terrified of qualified reps. If Idorsia was aware of the qualified reps being passed over because these managers are intimidated by reps who can make an impact immediatly, all these so called managers would be out the door. They would rather bring reps in that feel they can control, rather than have immediate success with experienced, qualified reps. Unbelievable.

Hey, Idorsia leadership.....wake up...the managers you hired are sabotaging your success before it begins.
Giving you the attention you crave, loser.

Everyone is ripping into this person, but I was in the same boat. 95K offer but I had a better offer with another company I accepted. Why is that so hard to believe? 95K is not that much. Why is everyone here spinning out?
Because you lyin. It’s so obvious. Here’s my take on you. You’re a career primary rep, spending 10-15 years dropping samples and sandwiches. You’ve never been to Presidents club, you’ve always just eeked by with no real success stories to hang your hat. Your bland, lack of initiative eventually caught up with you and your were caught in a layoff. So here you are, a mid 40s medium level performer who can no longer hide in the crowd of non performers. Contract sales is beneath you as you used to good on the Publicis Reps your company hired. But nobody is calling, no one is beating down your door begging you to work for them. Do you reluctantly decide that you’ll take this contract gig while holding your nose. You’ll yer it only for a little while until you find your dream job. You have years of experience!! You are so much better than the usual contract hire!! They are so lucky to hire you!!!! You just hope you’ll land something better soon and you won’t even list this on your LinkedIn profile. But….but..but.., guess what??! Times have changed. There’s a lot of great reps being downsized and they’re better than you. They recognize the opportunity to gain oncology experience and they hit the interview with much more enthusiasm than your tired ass. They get the job and you don’t. You don’t understand it??? So you end up trying to bash the company and position on CafePharma while you continue to search for a job. You are lost and lashing out!! PATHETIC!!!!

so???? Am I close????

TRUTH HURTS!!!!!!!

FELICIA! Just stop please! Now you’re replying to your own posts? Really?,. Sad little bitch. And no… everyone is not “ripping into THIS PERSON” (funny you refer to yourself as this person) just me and two or three other people who can smell your bull shit a mile away are calling you out on it. Also, definitely NOT interested in traded places with you because I just made you my bitch….beotch! And with that I’m done

the manager in nj passed on a couple of rockstars......they want sheep to follow them to the massage parlor for some hand relief........Am I right Christopher Czech
Enough. Can't you accept the fact that every company has bad managers and bad reps. Somehow in every line of work there can be "bad" found everywhere. My hiring manager is cool as shit. I can't wait to work for him. Is the pay low? A little. The industry is rapidly shrinking and changing on a quarterly basis. It is what it is. Enough bashing. You didn't click with the guy. Next.

No, not even close. Age completely off, Im a career specialty rep, was never ever downsized, was exploring other opportunities for a change, really did accept a better offer. Only truth here is that YOU have too much time on your hands to write this novel. Get a job fool!!

Fantastic! It appears your new employer got a stellar new hire. Exploring opportunities with Syneos in the sleep space vs a direct hire in a Specialty market opening...Not sure why you applied. It's apples and oranges. Not sure what you were expecting from the process, but I think I speak for everyone on the thread in wishing you the best in your new role!

Yassss!!!!!! These fools will never get a better job than the ones that laid them off!!!!!!

I believe alot of the Idorsia hires unfortunately are products of recent pharma layoffs. Whether in mgmt or a rep, alot of us, including me, simply needed to get back into pharma.
It's not fun being displaced after a 15yr successful pharma career.
Sometimes, in order to simply support our loved ones, we might accept something for less $.
This contract and $, while not up there ,for those like me previously making 6 figure base...at least someone gave folks with experience a chance when we needed one, despite the fact we're not in our 20's. But seasoned reps.
Personally, I believe alot of truthful people on this thread might attest to the same. We accepted because we needed another opportunity.
Long term with Syneos/contract/Idorsia? Probably not, especially if direct hire speciality position presents itself.
But for now, I'm very grateful and Blessed to have been given an offer.
Not complaining about base in the 80's. It's adequate for now, and it's better than other sales jobs, for the most part.

Amen!

A lot of people are also coming from other Syneos and Amplity contracts that have ended. Maybe you guys coming from direct will actually like Syneos. Why not be open to it? It isn't a death sentence. Do you know how many people would love our careers, even contract? We make a great living.

I have done both direct and Syneos. There are pros and cons to each. I have actually been happier at Syneos. Don't knock it before you try it! Some pros: They aren't as ageist, there aren't as many tests, usually less micromanagement, less attitude (almost all the reps & managers have had layoffs = more humble & grateful), and if the contract ends-- they put you right in line for other Syneos interviews right away so that you stay employed.

So you’re exploring opportunities for change???? Yeah, okay. I’m sure the smart move is to consider a contract job as a change from your specialty role. Either you’re majorly lying or incredibly dumb. So which is it???
