I’m glad Mitch won’t take up a Vote for a $2k direct check Stimulus. I was laid off and believe $600 was more than enough and people are complaining! Those people always want something free and handouts! Whatever happened to “Personal Responsibility” .

You snooty prick. The reason you think tax payer handouts to the people that payed the taxes is too much is because you were laid off and given basically a years worth of take home pay for your tragic loss. Im not sure how to tell you this but most "common" folk that were let go in America got a swift kick in the pants and 2 minutes notice...So F O and enjoy the next six months of income...and then jump back on and reply when the money runs out and you realize that you acquired no transferrable skills while catering lunches here at NOvo.

Cut the conservative ‘moral high ground’ BS. Trumps tax cut in 2017 added 2.3 trillion to the US debt. It did not “trickle down”. In fact 154x as much was spent by the corporate “welfare queens” on stock buybacks as was spent on worker’s bonuses and wages.
Why don’t you use your brain and donate your check to a local feed bank. Conservative, republican thought is now total hypocracy.

And why should I care if they weren’t given a severance package? It’s their fault for taking and staying at a job with no severance or package safety net if something were to happen. Typical radical leftist thinking.

When you look at the tax breaks for the rich in the original CARE package it pretty much says it all.
Who benefitted the most? the rich and corporate bailouts/ socialism yet coming from a party that hates socialism.

Stuff happens in life. Health issues. Divorces. Emergencies.

When you pay your taxes year after year, its brutal. I am in my 40s, and have paid close to a million in taxes, but now I just went through a terrible back accident. I couldn't move for several days. I will be out of work for a few months or more.

So, its my time to get some of the money back.

Look, I am a person who believes in hard work and doing your best and asking for little, but sometimes even the greats need help in tough times.

First, I don’t think you understand what socialism is. Second, those tax cuts resulted in those rich business owners hiring more people than ever before, which is why we had a record low unemployment. Why do you care if someone rich has more money than you do if they use that money to hire more workers? Quit being jealous.

No stimulus should have been given period. People should always prepare for a rainy day. That’s your responsibility not mines. There’s churches and charity should you not prepare. Government should stay out of our lives. That’s not the role of government.

So except for deregulation plus tax cuts...how would you explain the job growth and full employment? Hey, I don’t like Trump personally and I tend to be a libertarian but before covid, business and job creation was good. so they just organically grew on their own after Obama left office? Think about that statement? So what happened in small businesses to help grow and increase the amount of employees on their pay roll? Decreased taxes and decreased regulations on business. Economics 101- Why does India, Italy France not have growth or enemic growth. One big reason is barriers to business..taxes and regulations (bureaucracy).

What you don't realize is that most fiscal conservatives no longer listen to Fox News, as they have been compromised along with the other corporate media channels. What you also don't know is that you have been turned into another sheeple by your favorite news channel, while not seeing what is really happening.

The tax cuts were good for the working class, like anyone who is a rep here. I made about 2600/year more in take home pay after these cuts, and that was a huge difference for our family. Spoke to many family and friends about this and everyone benefited from the cuts- and I am talking a wide range of incomes with more benefits for the lower end.
