I was walking next to the HR wing today, and I heard shouts of "Woo Hoo" and laughter.

I assume Vertex is doing great again.

Either that, or HR just got word layoffs are in the offing. It's always good to have something to prove your worth to the company.

My advice is simple. Run, don't walk, from this place. There are no new eggs in the Vertex Easter basket. Just one CF egg. If it cracks, the Company cracks. And your career gets scrambled. The executives have all cashed out already. Just my advice. Take it or stay.
