Sales is who generates revenue. Support positions do NOT generate revenue. They do NOT have a quota/goal to meet and they should NOT ever be receiving anything but an agreed upon salary. Bonus should be for performance in making the company money only. Corporate office has been immune to layoffs for years while running this place in to the ground. Paying them a bonus is ridiculous. They shouldn't win President Club trips either.

I hope Teva doesn't really have reps as dumb as you. How much money could sales make without promotional material, product information, medical information, rx coverage, rx information, market access, patient services, IT, hardware, software, legal team, and most importantly, products. A 3rd grader could memorize a sales pitch and go Dr. to Dr. and do better than you(not all reps, just you). And they'd probably get better access because they are cuter than you. P.S. I agree with the previous poster. Sales isn't the only piece of the puzzle, but they are the only ones with a quota who actually sale product. Support is essential and should have decent salaries but not bonuses. Presidents Club should always be for sales performance. I rarely use the way overblown sales pieces and I am sure I am not alone. I sale with the PI and only when it is needed. I rarely need any of the expensive materials this company spends millions on to get the job done. We understand you guys need to justify your existence, but you aren't as crucial as you need to believe.

If reps don't need anything except PI, then reps should only be given what they need(paper PI). Do away with all unnecessary expenses. Do away with the unused/non-productive technology devices and software. Shut down all of the unneeded supporting departments(who by the way do have goals and performance reviews). Of the people left, stop bonuses for everyone. Build them into salaries and stop the bonus concept. Why should anyone get a bonus for doing the job they were hired to do? If they don't meet goals without explanation, eliminate them or don't give pay increases. Stop awards trips for all since it is an unnecessary expense. All that hysteria you just wrote there would be great if all of the other pharma company's followed your thought processes champ, but they don't, and they won't. Reps are necessary as long as the model is reps across the industry. Look, we are sorry that you have just finally realized that your job too could be on the line. We realize you HO people have never been touched before and think it isn't possible, but take it like a man and stop all the crying!
Not true. HO lost around 70 jobs earlier this year when we did the earlier layoffs. Call Center alone lost around 45.
Shows how important those jobs were LOL. We didn't even know they were gone.
Same goes for 60% of marketing and other HO jobs-if and when they are eliminated they wouldn't even be missed.
