Hanson

He was CEO, he was Chairman of the Board, he was essentially set for life. This move is baffling unless there was a lot more $$$, media spot-light and acclaim for him - - - or there's a lot of stuff at ZB that will soon become public. 3M and their spin-off have a lot of baggage right now with lawsuits and executive departures, this isn't going to be a picnic.

Over the last few years one thing is for sure. Zimmer has the lowest morale in company history. Now we have an even more disliked person from employees leading us, unless Ivan has some plans to boost morale and close the major gaps in communication, Zimmer gonna get worse before it gets better……. And I am sure Hanson is chasing money, all he cares about is money money money, guy was a ghost at Zimmer.

Biggest upside to Hanson leaving is that he'll poach many of his ex-Medtronic minions and they'll leave with him. And they'll leave twice as fast when 3M medical opens a facility for execs in CT.

Minions? The word you're looking for is sycophants. Good riddance to them when they inevitability follow Hanson.

The 3M lawsuits are all on the Industrial side, not the Healthcare side, which is why it's good for 3M Healthcare to be spun off, as the Industrial lawsuits have been holding resources back from healthcare.

Shocked that Hanson is the CEO choice. 500+ pages about him on this board alone, not to mention his wife's ummm....adventures.

3M Healthcare (will have a new name) will have an IPO later this year. Watch to see what Hanson does to the stock. I don't have much hope.

Messages, not pages, my bad.

Hanson's big achievements? Getting past the 483s and spinning off Zimvie. Yawn. His "visionary leadership" was a pretty lame. Today he can claim that he was limited in his role by financial constraints. Meaning, he wasn't given a green light to make a big acquisition. So Hansob bails before investors start asking him about his ability to execute. Over to Ivan, left holding the reins. Or left holding the bag. Whatever. ZB is losing my interest as they've no where to go and no one to blame. That big sucking sound you hear is anyone with merit looking for the exit now that the game has been played. Good luck all!!
