Agreed. I think there’s consensus that we have way too many people on the field for the products we carry. Fewer DCS would make sense, plus EDCS should go to single person territories. And, if you keep HSDCS at all, cut the team in half and only focus on the accounts where we have clear evidence that the model works and/or the standard model does not. All that means fewer managers and RBDs - we could cut out 10 RBDs easily and 2 ACL. And, all of that is just Sales - big cuts in Education would work as well. We’re so fat in the field right now, and all we sell is GLP-1. Time to face the fact that we can do the same with 60% of the cost.

Im pretty sure there’s absolutely no truth to this statement. First, unless you’re a fellow Director, your Director probably isn’t confiding in you. Second, your Director doesn’t know shit. I’m not sure if you get your rocks off or something by trying to get folks worried about their jobs, but at least put together a plausible story if you’re trying to do that. This one is way too easy to see through.
 




I am not sure what is true and what is not true on these posts. However, if you seriously think we are not going to reorganize and restructure this year then you have your head totally buried in the sand. Go and listen to the last ET update from about a month or so ago. Doug exact words were “the company will not look the same at the end of the year.” I think the fact that the ET team is absolutely silent, they are no longer stating we don’t plan for layoffs, Covid pandemic, insulin pricing pressures and list of other reasons should tell you the hammer will fall and many folks will not be employed at Novo on 1/1/21. Sad very sad but it’s coming so get prepared.

I agree. I think a reorg has to be on the horizon. But, anyone talking that they know the details of who is meeting, when they are meeting, and what they are proposing is full of shit.
 




Whether its this week, or next week, or 3 weeks from now, it doesnt really matter. Its almost August, we'll know the details soon enough. Novo likes to announce these things in the fall with the date being somewhere in November.

Lilly rep here (yes I am serious). I am super bored at the moment and decided to jump on your thread. I am in the DBU (Diabetes Business Unit) as well. We have been pulled out of the field since March. I'm wondering how much longer they can pay us to sit around at home and fake phone calls all day. Also, we have no target date to return to the field, it looks like it might even be next year. I am a little nervous because layoffs are usually announced in the fall.

Novo doing what Novo does. Getting every last second out of their people before cutting them. Cuts to be announced next Thursday and severance / bonuses to depend upon whether they remain in field after told when their role “expires”. No cuts in HO, of course.
