What the heck is Unboss? Can we make decisions to let go our bosses so the incompetent controlling idiots can be kicked out. If not, then there is no unboss. Can we provide performance evaluation for the bosses without hesitation the way some of these bosses do to get their strength and foothold by keeping the butt kissers? Can we fire our bosses because they are insecure and useless? In case of layoffs, can we determine which bosses can be laid off rather than the bosses determining which employee is a threat to their existence? If not, then no there is no unbossed culture. Never going to be one. For an unbossed culture, it should have been evident during the oncology layoffs. They should have let go of the majority of the bosses who are all asses but they did not layoff bosses. They used bosses to layoff good hard working employees who could be a threat to their existence. Unboss - No idea what Vas is smoking but Unboss is never going to happen. Sometjing fake and superficial. For an Unboss culture, he should have showed confidence by letting go some of the nastiest controlling bosses in oncology.
 








How can you transform culture with the same asses who have created this culture? There will be no culture transformation. Just a trick to fool shareholders.

A few short years ago, when she was here Alishia gave more than one talk about how the Culture was going to change for the better. How she instructed Middle Management enough was enough. She did this on several occasions and each time it was if she was talking to someone outside the room and absolutely fell on deaf ears with the RM and ABL class. It was as if ever middle manager in the room was thinking that she surely couldn't be talking about them. At least Alishia called a spade a spade and didn't try to hoodwink everyone w/ some new ficititious made up consultant term like "UnBossing".

As if any ABL is going to let any rep UnBoss them. They will continue w/ the 3 C's of a ride w/ Critique, Comment, Criticize not necessarily in that order but rest assured the beat downs will continue because that is all they know and you can't have change when middle management knows nothing more evolved. And as far as Accountability, they will pressure, more than ever that word on the Reps and become even more Unreliable and UnAccountable in their own actions since Accountable is only on their terms and not necessarily for the team but for them to attempt to make a team member feel substandard, guilt or substandard. Team is only for Reps not ABL or RMs there is a total disconnect between Rep and Middle Management. What will happen w/ PDI, probably more of the same, NVS calling them UnAccountable even though they did the same training as NVS Reps. Being called Unaccountable because the NVS rep dosen't want to take responsibility for their own drug. In other words, just more passing of the buck as usual it's what this company does.

The only way this company changes is when Middle Management literally is replaced w/ more sophisticated managers that respect and understand that the Rep Class is the bread and butter, the boots on the ground, the individuals that are in direct conversations w/ MD and RNs daily and not the ABLs or RMs that have NO IDEA how to coach, respect or lead by example.

So good Luck w/ the "UnBossing" my guess it lasts all of 72 hours and will be forgot about by next Monday.

Vas appears like the idealist swimming in a shark tank. Or is that just a guise?

Unboss has a real chance of succeeding if the company were to borrow billions to buy back the majority of outstanding shares and propose a vote on becoming a co-op at the next AGM.

NVS will change for the worst. Vas has caused a mess with the divestments and restructurings. He has a medical background not business. Is he really running the show? Or is he being puppet led and given the green light to fulfill his ambitious ideas in trying to have a leading footprint in Biotech so HE will be able to take credit? He talks about ethics. Sure nice. Has he thought about the lives of his employees he's impacted for the worst? Of course not. So he should lay off the ethic crap talk. Sad since he studied medicine and should know better. Who he should unboss are the guys in Switzerland in higher management - head of divisions. They have created this mess and have not placed adequate measures and "funds" to take care of the US sites as theytshould have been. They didn't care. It served them for a time milking the cow until it didn't. Ethical yeah right.
 




None of this is a Vas problem. None of it is a management problem either. It's a REP problem. The problem is the Reps continue to CHOOSE to work and live in this environment. It's the entire Industry, you can't escape it, you can't change it w/ complaining. It is what it is.

Your lives will change when you decide to move on and get a "Grown Up" job and not continue to chase the Pharma Fantasy anymore. The job has literally been reduce since probably the early 2000's to a customer service job w/ micro managers. It isn't going to change, it's how the managers are trained and it's going to continue until you decide to grow up and get a job where you are treated w/ respect and dignity on a weekly basis. You are not going to get it in Pharma.

Post after post about this on NVS pages and on other Company pages. You talk to your friends at other companies and it's the same thing.. so why would you keep complaining when you know it goes on everywhere?

It's the Industry, accept it or get a little self respect responsibility and grow up. Here's a little secret, you get to choose how people treat you, currently you enjoy the Narcissism of these companies, it's who you are until you decide that enough is enough and figure out that you are better than Pharma.

The termites that have destroyed the foundation by overspending and fooling the top leadership in many many ways know no other way but to trick the organization. The combination of lies and loudness is deadly and these termites have permanently fooled the upper of the upper management. These dirts have so many tricks up their sleeves that firing these people although the right option will never be carried out because Vas lacks guts to do that. He is just swirling in his imaginary desires. People above Vas knew the monetary state of this company along with the absolute lack of blockbusters. That is the sole reason to hire a cheap CEO. Vas would never be a CEO if everything was going alright. Period.

Disappointed at Vas' behavior yesterday at One Novartis. Giving a standing ovation to that idiot who said he does not like the tone of the woman asking questions on layoffs. Kudos to the woman for being brave and caring about coworkers. A CEO who is immature and cannot show restraint that he has to clap at a moron's statement. What a relief for Vas. No character or strength.
