Ryan keeps asking us to believe in the company and be fully supportive, but it’s a two way street. I’m not seeing a lot of reciprocity on their part and they can’t blame COVID forever. I feel more squeezed than ever with unreasonable workloads and zero support from my manager and other teams. Starting to feel like sadly this is the new normal at Bio.We do have a few women in leadership roles here in house like Amy and Katarina, but they are definitely in the minority and they will be the first to admit that. I was recently was promoted for the first time and offered a 3% raise only because I complained that they were not filling the open positions in my group even after things started to come back after COVID and I was not willing to take on all the extra work anymore. My “raise” is the same as the cost of living increase we should have received last year, so essentially no raise at all and I am still doing the work of 2 people. This is a common story across many in house departments and why I think you’ve been seeing so many people leave the company in the past year. From what I’ve seen it takes women working in house 50% longer to be promoted and the pay increases offered are not the same as what I hear some of my male colleagues have been offered. I think it someone filed a complaint and they looked into this it would be very clear that women are not being treated equally at this company.
