Galderma's Comp Plan & Bogus Quotas are Destroying AX

I’m made $56k this quarter, close to $50k for Q1 and Q2. For those that are missing their number, stop blaming KH/Leadership and look in the mirror. Did this job evolve and you didn’t? Has it past you by?

instead of complaining about “how it used to be”, evolve or GTFO! I 100% guarantee you are not a rep in California or any big city. You are 100% a rep in the midwest. That is wonderful that you made that kind of $$ all year. You were lucky to get a low goal. Did you get a 50% growth goal quarter after quarter? Once again- you got lucky. This job is not about skill or hard work or business planning anymore. All that is thrown out the window when your goal is not even from this planet. This is the problem here. All of you Texans are living in a fantasy land while the rest of the country is absorbing the absurd #'s. I completely understand that this company "used to be awesome". Nobody will disagree with that. It could still be a "good decent" company if leadership made it so reps can make around $20k per quarter like we signed up for. People should on occasion make $50k but they should never be making Zero dollars or sub $10k per quarter for selling over 2 million dollars per quarter. The problem is people that work their tails off cant live off of a base salary here. Thats the heart of the matter.

The "Double Down" was great for me. I went from making $3k in Q3 to $28k. Proves that sandbagging works and I plan on doing it again in Q4. Never place big orders the last week or two of the quarter. Just hold those orders when Galderma is struggling nationally and they will incentivize you to place those the orders as quickly as possible the following quarter and get double credit. We have been programmed to do this and encouraged to do this by our leaderships comp plan. On the other hand, if they just paid out fairly and gave no reason to stop selling if you aren't at 85% I would have placed those orders in Q3. We probably could have hit our Q3 nationally if we got rid of this no payment under 85% garbage. Simply a ridiculous comp plan that Galderma knows incentives bad behavior, but it seems that Galderma wants it this way for some reason as they have never changed it. So per Galderma leadership, this is good behavior and they actually encourage it. Now let see how ridiculous our Q4 quotas will be and rinse and repeat.
 




Very ironic here how they’re always asking the reps for consistency in orders and forecasting but won’t provide us consistency in comp structure for our personal lives. Some quarters reps have a “double down” option and some they don’t. Sometimes you go from making nothing to making 30k. Sometimes you do everything you can for the company in putting in revenue the last week of the quarter to find out you could hear sandbagged a week and got revenue for two quarters. Leadership provides no level of consistency to the Salesforce so I don’t think the Salesforce needs to provide any level of consistency to leadership. The culture here is terrible.
 




It’s funny to see how drastically the managers and directors have changed in their personalities and approaches. Their jobs are pretty easy when everyone is doing great and making money. My Director is actually having to go in the field now. It’s so funny how uncomfortable she acts.
 




It amazes me how we were all just on a national call with EB a few weeks ago talking about an expansion, upgrades to our compensation plan and all this good stuff. Its been crickets since then and now were being told no plans to do the expansion and our comp plan will be the same for Q4. What was the point of EB's call to get us all excited and it was all just a joke. This place is weird.

I can help with the q3 finish question. Take q3 forecast and subtract 35%. Result: no expansions and another shitty comp plan.

Galderma doesn't care about what you think. Galderma doesn't care about us. Erick and Kelly don't think we are working hard enough to hit the number. I heard we are receiving performance warning letters this week. Get ready

Performance improvement plans need to be given to all area directors, KH and EB for knowingly setting up the company for failure. They know the quotas are B.S and they all know our comp plan sucks at this point. Once again they told everyone to push and push at the end of Q3 knowing you aren't getting paid and you get threatened if you put in big orders in Q4 as they don't like "sandbaggers". Well guess what? The double down once again rewarded those people who held orders and you get to double dip as those orders count for Q3 & Q4. Leadership made this decision. Yes, a good smart decision on the backend as it was needed, however if reps were just fairly paid on everything they sell none of this dog and pony stuff would ever be necessary. You sell something- you get paid on something. We need A straightforward comp plan without all this fine print and needing to hit 85% to goal on an absurd quota. Once Fleming or whoever controls how we get paid wakes up, we will then be in a better place. Enough of the comp games- pay a respectful and decent commission from dollar $1 and 99% of all of Galderma's issues are resolved. Truly, it is that simple.
 




Thoughts on Q4 quotas?

reps thoughts don’t matter. Galderma just applies arbitrary quotas to territories without any clear formula or explanation. Can anyone here explain how quotas are even calculated? What are performance letters going to even do? Reps from outside of the company can come in and hit arbitrary numbers?

W the first quarter guarantee and the next two quarters above plan, I’ve made more in three quarters at Revance than a year at Galderma. AND I GET STOCK GRANTS TOO!

if it’s not longer fun at Gladerma, do something about it. Life’s too short!

Your data is trash, your products are trash, that’s why you’re dropping your price straight to the bottom. Traaashhhh! Dysport is a superior product!

Once you get an account to buy Daxxify one or two times you’ll be finished even being able to sell that product to those same accounts. It’s a terrible product, almost nobody makes a second order of it. You’ll be slapped in the face with reality and unable to make any money. Galderma’s challenges aren’t that we sell shitty products but rather the expectation of sales is far too high.
