Galderma's Comp Plan & Bogus Quotas are Destroying AX

Yes. Leadership is completely arrogant. I couldn't agree more. Sales always go down when a rep leaves the territory. That is proven time and time again. The entire reason Galderma is doing a salesforce expansion is because sales go up with more boots on the ground. Galderma is absolutely not fine as an organization. Sales continue to slide quarter after quarter. I left this dumpster fire a few months ago and couldnt be happier. Good luck to everyone still at Galderma.
 




How many more people need to quit before Galderma changes their sales compensation plan?
There is literally no reason to sell a single penny for those under 85% to goal which is the majority of the company at this point. The company is clearly not going to hit 85% as a nation this quarter for either bucket. Half of the company is NOT selling right now as there is no point. Revance became smart and adjusted to the times. They are paying 4% commission on all orders from dollar #1. Galderma pays zero dollars until you hit a random goal that was pulled out of an elephants anus. Funny how not a single person in senior leadership or analytics can tell you exactly how they came up with your goal. We are getting crushed here on the east coast with no end in sight. My girlfriend at Merz is making bank now that they adjusted quotas at their crappy company. Before I joined Galderma I thought this company was polished and ran itself like a well oiled machine. It was the "destination company". Now I understand why there is so much negativity in this company. There is zero leadership, zero vision, zero understanding of the market, zero common sense and people who give zero sh.t about anything around here.
Get a job at Revance or Merz. Both companies have issues but are a million time better than Galderma. This place is a shit hole with horrendous leadership.

I call BS. Specialists MAY continue to use a brand without a rep but the majority of Medspa's would eventually shift usage to another brand where they were receive support.
 




The stress is wicked. Does KH think that we don't want to hit our number? Stop with these elaborate contests and threats. Give us a number and comp plan that is fair. The last year has been absurd

In Q3 my quota increase was 30% over last year. I don't know what inflation is now but it isn't 30%. HQ expects me to increase sales in this economic chaos at a faster rate to outpace inflation.

ya ok! That's laughable...keep telling yourself that. You haven't been in the field in many years if ever. Pretty sure that's why the company employs high paying reps because they are the ones getting the business. Brands only go so far, and it's getting very crowded. Nice try though

So what! If your quota outpaces inflation, it doesn't make sense. Inflation means everything else is more expensive and selling 30% more than last year when basic necessities are also going up makes a 30% increase in quota harder to achieve. You aren't that dumb

I would love to have only a 30% increase in quota. Many reps are getting 60-70% increases. If you are lucky enough to work in the midwest you most likely got a decrease and hit your goal each and every quarter because Galderma favors all the areas close to home office. If a gallon of gas is over $7 bucks in your state you are probably missing quota all the time. If a gallon of gas is under $3 bucks you live in the midwest and hit your quota because people actually have discretionary income to spend.

I agree! we have launched several products and indications over the past few years so that isn't our problem. We just launch poorly. Take the Eyelight launch where we got launch boxes but didn't have the samples to actually place in the boxes. No training videos and very little trainings funds. Add in massive quota increases and you have a shitty compensation.

Galderma is seriously lacking behind when it comes to innovation. The same old Restylane, a toxin which is Ipsen’s and nothing in the pipeline. The others are upping their game while our leadership continues to dream about the IPO.

Emerging leaders is so dumb. So you take a 2 day course and magically you are ready to become a leader at Galderma. Galderma hires most RSM's and leadership roles from outside the organization anyway because sales reps know that those jobs are worse than sales roles and don't even bother interviewing for them.
 




Veeva insights is used to determine quota and is what they will use to expand again. WTF would a company use data from veeva input! We are given a short time to guess the number of procedures an injector does weekly, we GUESS the level of Merz and Allergan to GUESS how much potential is in the practice. LOL how dumb!

If veeva insights is the information that asks how many procedures each week an HCP does and what Allergan level, that information is BS. We guess that info in the one week they give us to update it each year. bless your heart making quota setting on this information.

Yes. most reps are guessing this information for the 50 plus accounts they have so HQ using the information for quota setting is stupid because the information is mostly wrong. Now, reps are getting smart and lowering the data they enter since it impacts quota.

they're setting the rules of engagement, now we must play w in those rules so it’s a win-win situation. Gone are the days of me selling millions per quarter and only collecting my base salary.
