FLORIDA EMPLOYEE'S TESTIFYING IN A FEDERAL CASE-THIS IS FOR YOU!

POSTED ARTICLE DATED16 Feb 10 LabCorp Reports Profits But Its Future Remains Cloudy

Laboratory Corporation of America (LabCorp – New York Stock Exchange Symbol LH) recently reported an increase in fourth-quarter net earnings to $242.7 million, as compared to $90.1 million for the 4th quarter of 2008. The increase in earning were due partly to a gain of $121.5 million from resolving state tax issues and realizing foreign tax credits.

LabCorp’s total revenues for the fourth quarter rose to $2.17 billion, up from $1.92 billion the year before. For the full year, the company had profits of $943.3 million, up from earnings of $864.5 million in 2008. The increase also includes all the income from the labs that Labcorp has acquired.

Labcorp also announced that it will be spending $450 Million to buy back shares of their own stock. Labcorp’s Chairman and CEO DK said “ We remain optimistic about the growth opportunities that lie ahead for us in 2010, and we are well positioned to capitalize on them.” I highlight the word lie because while he was making the statement, he was filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission that he had just sold shares of LabCorp stock and pocketed over $171,960 in profits. You would think that when the head of a company announces positive results and claims to be “optimistic about the growth opportunities” he would be buying stock, not selling it.

One thing that LabCorp CEO Dk didn’t boast about is that of a rumored investigation of LabCorp by the US Department of Labor, Employment Standards Administration, Office of Federal Contract Compliance Program. According to posts in CafePharma.com, LabCorp’s Florida operations are in trouble. They had to settle an employment lawsuit at a rumored cost of about $1.1 Million. In addition, they have a pending Federal lawsuit from a former employee that has not gone too well for them. With allegations of witness tampering and obstruction of justice, LabCorp has had to fire the law firm that was handling the case. The posts include the following:

OFCCP would like to hear from those who have been discriminated against based on a protected characteristic. (personal info removed) A formal recommendation has been made for an investigation of LCA Florida. Those who aren’t afraid to get their hands dirty, write:

One thing that LabCorp CEO Dk didn’t boast about is that of a rumored investigation of LabCorp by the US Department of Labor, Employment Standards Administration, Office of Federal Contract Compliance Program for not maintaining rest rooms. According to posts in CafePharma.com, LabCorp’s Florida operations are the only bright spot in the entire company. They won an employment lawsuit. In addition, they have a pending take out order for Chinese food that has not been delivered. With allegations of the white rice being under cooked, LabCorp has had to switch to Mexican take out from Taco Bell:

One thing that LabCorp CEO Dk boasted about is that LabCorp has been named one of the top companies by the US Department of Labor, Employment Standards Administration, Office of Federal Contract Compliance Program. According to posts in CafePharma.com, employees are honored to work for LabCorp’s especially in Florida. In addition, they have won Division of the year for the last 5 years..... way to go!!! Even employees like MB who have been hit with allegations of witness tampering and obstruction of justice have received substantial bonues. LabCorp has had to hire a law firm to help distribute the money. The posts include the following:

Some one has a major case of OCD..suggestion: seek help immediately... best thing for everyone to do is just not open this thread anymore... what a waste of space..

It appears as though LabCorp has someone watching this post and trying to navigate people away from it by posting a bunch of insanity. They don't want to have any more employee's aware of how to protect themselves and or aware of potential investigations which employee's could participate in to make positive changes in the work place. They would rather to continue to ignore the issues, and intimidate the employee's.

The below is just one outside agency that is conducting an investigation. There will soon be another investigation which will become much more "public" and allow for both the clients and patients to participate it. Until then, upset employee's, clients and patients should send concerns to the below:

From all these posts it appears that LabCorp is very concerned about their employees. I think it's pure insanity for anyone to suggest otherwise. Labcorp should be proud of how they protect their employee's from those with a negative attitude or bad work ethics. An investigation into finding out which employee's are creating a hostile work enviroment for their fellow employrees should be done.

If you know of any employee that is a discontent or a slacker please contact the below agency which is conducting an investigation. There will be a public termination of all employees identified through this process. Until then, please contact the following:

The original basis for this thread was lacking substance. It was started by a discontented ex-employee who thought they could cause some heat for Labcorp.

Hey big mouth! you think you can cause some problems for Labcorp? Well shut up and take your own advice and file a lawsuit. Gutless Moron.

I'm filing my lawsuit on Tuesday and then you will know who I am.
