Fixing Heartware?

Looking at the financials from today: Heartware sold only 28 pumps in Q4 and lost $11 million in net cash. Time to sell this puppy.

OK Mr/Ms Glass-Half-Empty. Management just delivered hands down the best results of any major med tech player and no one has time for your whining. Believe me, we will turn this business around.

Business would have been buried if MDT hadn’t purchased them. Abbott is winning... but business would be dead without MDT deep pockets and investing in business. So... think what you may... but this is worth mentioning.

Two years ago NN told us “I’m not here to shut the buisness down” and here we go again his 3rd shutdown in row. This didn’t have to happen.

They say feed the winners. Everywhere NN goes he is a loser and can’t lead, but keeps getting the next chance. It’s mind boggling how he continues to get opportunities. Good thing is I have my out. Grab the life boats.

Can you imagine working in the 4th buisness he gets handed? Resumes will be flying off the printer... at some point people have to realize it’s not a coincidence he can’t lead to success. But hey he never really got attached to MCS so he’ll be fine.

It was a total mess when Medtronic bought Heartware ---- but the problems were known and there was a line of sight to solutions.

But Medtronic Mounds View can't fix things anymore. If they would have just supported the Heartware people rather than burden them.

And -- yes ---NN. There's that.

3x higher rate of death isn’t his fault

Your right but having no plan to fix the issues, being absent/not present/not engaged, focused on ADN & not the business he led that was in desperate need on leadership are all his fault. He is selfish and only cares about himself. I have never interacted with a more self absorbed person in my career.
