Failure at the OSA, Biomet - Trust issues, Yes Leadership, Lack of Leadership?

Very funny. Why doesn't SD at the OSA leave. Now that is lack of leadership. Or should one say trust issues or should one say Yes leadership. I think we have a winner of all "3". Why does this company keep incompetent people in leadership? Oh I think we all know the reason. Biomet only keeps people who do not have ideas of their own. Thus - Yes Man. Sounds Jamaican Man.

You are clueless and have no concept of what anyone at the OSA does or how they perform. Probably a fired employee who just cant get over the fact that they were the problem. Must be nice to trash someone anonymously.

Be real I never worked at the OSA just my observation from an outsider who was trained there. Chill you people need too calm down go have a beer. My honest opinion of the guy was he was truly clueless.

You were trained there? So that means you spent, at most, a week or two around the OSA. You were in a classroom all day, returned to your hotel and did it again the next day. When exactly did you interact with SD? He is not directly involved in presenting anything so you didn't even have exposure to him in the classroom. Maybe...you saw him during lunch. Thanks for the objective analysis of what he does and how he does his job. You sir, are the clueless one.

Generally speaking, SD is a pretty decent guy that likes people. He is not a product expert, or is he paid to be such. He manages medical education and has some pretty good people working on his team. Granted, he seems a little defocused at times, so following up with him is essential. Bear in mind that running things through compliance can be a draining experience and Biomet's compliance officer is pretty damn fair and efficient. I recall when JH was in charge of compliance and she was a huge nightmare, but I digress. Point is, give the guy a break.

I agree. SD is doing his best against compliant rules and the demands of the sales force. He has a lot of "balls in the air" and it is a management nightmare to coordinate all aspects of setting meetings, coordinating dates, working with surgeon schedules, internal Biomet personnel, instrument sets, lab schedules, national and regional professional meetings, etc. and etc. Give the guy a break....

Thanks for your comments... My feelings exactly. I think I will pass on the opportunity. The competitor pays more and I feel they are more stable.

I heard Biomet was cleaning house internally and I thought this might be a sign of positive changes, but it appears from what I have heard that they kept the dead weight and got rid of the performers. When top down the attitude is don't hire anyone better than me..it might threaton my job?...look at what is at the bottom...wow.

So are we safe with the Zimmer purchase? I want the party to continue. XXXX I want answers and I want them know....XXXXX isn't telling anyone anything he just hides in his corner. XXX just shuts his door, XXXXX just acts like we are little people, directors just give the company line, HR doesn't think they will be around - I'm scared, Thanks for keeping the coffee and giving us long nice breaks everyday. I can't focus though, this party just needs to end so the new one can get started.

Anyone have a clue why medical device is so dirty and corrupt? Everyone on the post is saying it's an epidemic at all device companies. Why? And Biomet is the worst because HR will lie and cover up for select employees. Forget zero tolerance. Can anyone provide information on the HR leader? All the negative events (alot of events!) seem to begin with her and roll down hill.

"I hear from way to many older loyalists, of the internal abusive actions that are taken against anyone that speak out. The current leadership does not care to rebuild the reputation they had with their employees. Take a good look at those that were walked out beginning in 2007 through 2008. Almost all were removed under false pretense. Many should have banned together under a class lawsuit."

Same thing over at 3i. Lies in HR files. What happened in Warsaw in 07 and 08? Details please. Job titles, initials and lies told please.

You sir, or whatever you are....are a truly bad and evil person. You know nothing, you have no influence over anything...but for some reason you feel a vendetta against SD. The only thing your "ANONYMOUS" posts accomplish is to establish you as a low life who will do anything to put someone else down through rumors.

You are a poor excuse for a human being....hope you feel proud of yourself. Have you no shame! And, no I am not SD...
