I've been with Biomet in a major city for 9 years and grown my business double digits every year. Why? Because I can sell ice to an Eskimo. Doesn't matter what line I carry. Ive been courted by every company and choose to stay because of the products. Poor management. I don't give a shit as long as I am making money who the fuck cares.

Again that is the reason Biomet will fail. Lack of responsibility and integrity that you and many others cashing in, identity with.
This sums it up. Selling ice to an Eskimo. With Biomets product line you have to be that good because the products suck. If your physician is on a design team, let's be honest you didn't sell them, the company bought them. That is how this business works.
But heh I am an educated Biomet sales professional. I know how to spell professional sometimes? That's better than the corporate person who spelled it. right?
You would be surprised what excuses they will find to fire a person for. May seem trivial but when an employee is literally looking down the barrel of a gun, it leaves a lasting impression.

I have seen firsthand with people I know who currently work/worked at Biomet Corporate. Sometimes the best people are not kept and the poor performers are kept and even sometimes promoted which is a further joke. The executives at Biomet do not want those who can actually think and make a decision. Actually have an idea and present it and you will go down. Convince someone who is higher up that it was their idea you may have a chance, but probably not. They want employees who listen and execute what they say and command. This comes from a very arrogant executive team. Although their performance leaves no place for arrogance. Although they continue to think they are great living in la la land. Just more of how a ho hum company with weak performance operates. Everyone feels threatened, but surrounds yourself with weak and you may look good. That is until there is no more money from big brother to lose. This will happen and there will be major cuts at Biomet.
Agreed it's not perfect in Biomet, but it's a HELL of a lot better than at other companies, like JnJ Depuy. I choose Biomet over that mess of a tight-assed, all formality and no talent corporate culture.
I agree 100%!!! They haven't experienced bad until they've lived in the hell known as DePuy. What an effing mess that place is. As bad as you may think Biomet is its far above the other companies.

Wow you people have a lot of growing up to do. I personally think the problem with the orthopedic companies in Warsaw is the community itself. People who live there are a different breed and they just all need some new outside blood.
OMG! When Depuy sold out to J N J at least the owner gave a percentage of the sale to the employees. The more years the higher the pay. Fact, sister in law pocketed 8k in manufacturing. They still have pension plans and stock options. Much more than Biomet would even lift a finger for.
I agree but I just stay at Biomet even though it is the lowest paid and lowest benefits in Warsaw because no one else would take me. I am just going to milk this one as long as I can. Many of my friends feel the same way. Not a great place to work. Can't make many decisions. Not much feeling of much power. But it sort of pays the bills. I find the company to be poorly run but who really cares. At least get free coffee.

I wonder if Serbo remembers the rant he had several years ago about "the little people" and how we can't trust them. I certainly do.
People like Serbo created the problem. Again calling people little people is just plain ole arrogance at Biomet. These people need to go to save the company if anyone cares. I could name several others but I think we all know who they are.
What is the deal with this poster constantly berating SD? Sounds like you got the boot and haven't accepted it. Enough is enough. SD, to my knowledge, is working hard, trying to do his best and is basically a quality individual. How would you like it if you were trashed "anonymously" with little or no facts, just non-specific complaints. Have you NO decency?
With that attitude, I'd say it's time to do everyone, especially you, a favor.....and get a new job.
What were the details on SD? Nothing is posted? Could he not defend himself and called to have things removed? Sounds like it. Just curious.
