Electric Vehicle

Good Morning AZ peers! I just came across a great docu-series called Down To Earth with Zac Efrom! Highly recommend that we all watch this eco-warrior program! EVs are just a start for our company and we all need to employ an eco-warrior approach to our habitat. We are just stewards of the land and air for our children and grandchildren. Go Green Please!!!

AZ "food for thought": Driving one mile with a gas guzzler emits 404 grams of carbon dioxide! When one examines the foods we consume, a single cheeseburger produces over 14 times more carbon dioxide at 2,768 grams (Proceedings of National Academy of Sciences)!!! I only order plant-based meals for customer lunches and I have been a Vegan for over 5 years! Be healthy and save the Earth by eating green. Good Selling

You're a liar. No way are the staff and doctors going to eat vegan crap lunches. Go troll somewhere else.

This is where planning comes in. You have approx 230 miles on a full charge, so most won’t be on empty daily, but best practice to plug in every night (like your IPad ). If your power goes off, you should have enough charge to drive to nearest charging station and charge. Main concern is infrastructure to support needed charges, but I dare say we probably drive past multiple charging areas a day and don’t even know it since we aren’t looking. There will be an app to help you identify closest chargers when needed. They really have created a solid plan. Reserve judgement until you hear all the details….I know it’s hard, but you may be the one that doesn’t get your vehicle for another 2 years and our colleagues will be the ones leading through the new process.

This is the most unintelligent response I see on this post. People are completely drinking the Koolaid. First of all, the technology with these electric vehicles is not where it needs to be to use as a company vehicle, where we depend on every day to see customers. They fail in cold weather. In some states, the power companies have control over how much electricity a home is using and if they restrict, we’re sh$t out of luck. Sorry, I need my allocation of electricity for my home. Not using it to charge a company vehicle.
Next is the safety issue. God forbid they catch fire, difficult to extinguish. uktinately, they are not as green as you think. The mines for raw materials required to produce the batteries destroys the environment. Not to mention, China owns all those mines. Another way USA becomes dependent on China.
Think again. Not practical at this point, and the infrastructure is not yet ready to handle electric vehicles. It is going to be a nightmare.

So, Mr. Vegan, I have a question for you. If you and a vegan friend of yours have a disagreement, do you still call it a beef?

Meat products have larger carbon footprints per calorie than grain or vegetable products because of the inefficient conversion of plant to animal energy and due to CH4 released from manure management and enteric fermentation in ruminants. Ruminants such as cattle, sheep, and goats produced 175 million metric tons (mmt) CO2e of enteric methane in the U.S. in 2020!! When I inform my offices the reasons that I do not provide meat dishes for "lunch and learn", they thank me and it gives me a competitive advantage over other companies. So you can employ GREEN practices at work. Take Care

More Co2 is expelled in a week from a volcano than all mankind has created in history. Enjoy that delicious steak and stop the volcano’s!!!!!

Any kind of cooking wastes energy. Everyone is going to have to adopt a vegan paleo diet which is healthier and does not require heating anything. That is the solution.

You are right, it has to go beyond gas stoves. Cooking is unnecessary and destroys nutrients. It has to be a raw, paleo diet. We must ban cooking.

At least the people in EV territories got new vehicles. I’m up to 135,000 miles on the Ol Camry and not a word has been mentioned about replacing it. I guess we are just out of luck.
