Drivers in Teterboro Join Union

Happy holidays to my union brothers and sisters and all those that supported the cause in 2019. Looking forward to big things in the new year.

If by “big things” you mean getting drummed out of the company by your employer, your coworkers and and everyone else who you let down and betrayed with your greed, in hopes of scamming a couple of dollars that you don’t deserve and aren’t owed to you, then yes, “big things” are coming. Hope this helps.

The company just laid off sales reps with upwards of thirty years of service under the pretense of a re-org. This will never happen to the drivers that have union seniority protection.

That’s correct. They won’t be “laid off”. They will be terminated for cause and replaced by third party vendors. Hope this helps

If there were to be layoffs among unionized drivers, you can bet the 30 year employees will not be the first to go. With unions, service and seniority are valued, a far cry from the Quest approach.

Unions also protect against baseless “cause” termination.

Unions more often than not are barriers to profit unless there are very employer friendly contract terms. So they in general can't guarantee there will not be downturns in business that could result in layoff, but they would control the selection method.

The middle class was built on the back of Unions.
Is it any surprise why they keep decreasing in memberships over the past 40 years ?
There has been a systematic effort to dismantle the middleclass.
We need UNIONS.

No, son. You might need one. But at Popeyes Chicken and Biscuits, you’re still on your own. Hope this helps

Comparing layoffs to termination for cause is like comparing the dog and the cat in the Captcha here.
