It does not take backbone to fire someone. Taro should be developing their people. On the other hand, SV does not have to develop people. Her job is not complicated. Not like rebates, or GP. You must know that most transactional people are not brainiacs. If they cannot go fast enough, they are out. Easy to quantify. But, at least the AR people seem to be disciplined and are trying to do the work. Btw, does SV ever shut up? Omg. Constant gossip. Always FaceTiming in her office. Holy crap. At least, her team are not looking out window and pounding it when they see someone cute. Who does that? The old AVP who is a legend in his own mind. What a hottie. Past his prime. Now the FF gang is banging the window. So professional. But, their example is..... but, don’t piss off BC because he has gang with him starting with MS. They will give people 1 on their review and toss them if anyone tells on them. Have you ever seen BC completely lose control. Yelling and screaming like a two year old who is not getting his way. Still MB walks around totally clueless. It must be the Argentinian weed. This is our company. Yea! There will be cuts. Gladly. It seems that BC, everytime he sees an interesting woman below his office, he starts banging on the window. It can be heard from several offices. The first time I heard it, I went over to see what was wrong and then I saw it. WTF. Then FF and JG started it when they saw MB and others coming from lunch. I have tried to ignore it, but it is so unprofessional.

Do you know that NR dissed BC in one of the OHI meetings? She is trying very hard to make a name for herself. Not sure if she lied or exaggerated....but the team is trying to kill each other....

If you can’t finish your job in 8 hours there is an issue. Time for lawyers and the Dept of Labor to get involved.

I think the majority are lazy. Some are workaholics and others are too incompetent to do their job in 8 hours. If it is not reasonable, tell your boss how much time it will take. Some work, like month-end, is periodic. So, if an employee has to work a bit over, then so be it. If they are exempt, it is figured in their paycheck. Most are given a monthly or hourly salary. What does the offer let state?

What about the female pigs.?..I am a thinking males are called Boars and females are Sows. I agree it is not appropriate behavior, but all men are not like that. The company is losing sales, so they have implemented a plan to cut expenses.
Instead of laying off people and paying them severance, they are strategically placing some of you on probation.
My advice to those of you that have been placed on probation is to leave as soon as possible. In addition, a lot more people will be placed on probation after this mid-year review is completed. You are doomed for failure if you stay.

Management has created a stressful and hostile work environment. They want you to work harder, leave, or terminate you. Whether you had already "met expectations" (or at least thought you did) or not is irrelevant. Whether it's fair or not is irrelevant. You have been marked for termination. Respond in kind. Even if you decide to stay and work harder, the work environment will not change.

Give your two weeks notice, behave and work professionally, and leave, whether you have a new job lined up or not. Go on interviews and be honest with your potential employers. Tell them the company is doing poorly and you wanted out. In a year or two, having Taro on your resume will be a liability for you, so get out while you can.

Taro is bad at hiring good executives. Then it filters down. Bad execs pick bad subordinates. Whoever said Taro is losing money is wrong or cannot read the financial statements. Oh, I guess you don’t have to be able to do that if you are in Taro finance. Don’t worry, things will be fine. Every place has people and people naturally hate each other. So, get used to it or go to another place that hates people.
