Dermatology Comp plan

What is the compensation package for this position? I heard both companies will be offering the same one.

No, Regeneron pays more.

They also give stock (worth nothing) and sign ons.

Genzyme pays less. I've heard $120 for Genzyme and then I've heard $140K for others. Why the disconnect? It makes no sense Genzyme recruiters are saying different figures.

what the recruiter tells you from each company about base salary range is all dependent on what you currently make. That's why it differs. I was told max base of 120k at Sanofi while my friend/coworker was told 145k but she currently makes around 20k more than me. Regeneron says basically same.

So what you get told will vary based on your current base salary and they will ask for last years tax return or pay stubs to prove income verification.

Would they hire a pharma rep with no biotech experience for this position? The ad doesn't say biotech experience only, but it seems they would only consider someone with biologics or biotech experience.

No

derm (a lot of it)

or biotech minimum of 2 years.

compensation is different. Regeneron pays more.....Sanofi pays less....

I'll stay where I am. I'm in Derm now and so far I know only 3 Derms say they would use it in very severe cases and I've asked my entire territory. These 3 Derms say they only have 1 patient they can think to use it. They stressed very severe cases which amounts to prescribing maybe 1 patient per year or two. No way I'd jump on board for this. Your life would be hell from your DM and upper management. Lmao!

It'll be up to us to go ahead and be sales people and create the market for this drug… There is a very huge patient pool of moderate patients that could probably benefit from this drug. You will have to utilize your relationships in Dermatology to get people to trust you and go ahead and use this first line instead of all the other options that they currently have… None of which are very good. Please try to keep your negativity off of here and be excited for those of us that are excited to make this career move and create the market of Biologics in atopic dermatitis.

Pfizer will crush your product!!

Pfizer will crush your product!!

The Pfizer product is a topical and doesn't have near the efficacy this biologic does. The topical will be for mild to mild-moderate atopic derm, this is for moderate to severe. They aren't fighting for the same patient types.

Actually the Pfizer topical and this biologic will become a new standard of care used in combination.

Derms will use a topical first line ever time regardless of indication and Derms will not jump through all the hoops to get a biologic except in rare cases just watch. Plus Pfizer is paying just as much as Regeneron/Genzyme not to mention the pediatric use that the Pfizer product will also get. Face it you will be on the wrong team just like the Praluent team.

Derms could give a rats ass about getting a biologic covered for atopic patients. They spend most of their time with cosmetic patients. Pitch the science all you want but Derms will have the patient slap on topicals and call it a day! You all clearly don't know the market. This will be a failed launch.. Just watch!

I agree all the way! The Derms that don't see high volume cosmetics are cheapppp as hell with patients not wanting to spending $10 on a topical. These are also the Derm offices who refuse to send patients to speciality pharmacies AND it's the same patients who refuse to use speciality pharmacies. Atopic Derms are only
1-2% of the total volume of their patients. Either way it's a lose lose situation. Tough as nails market. Don't see how anyone can make any money on bonuses in this market. You'll be required to do speaker programs at least 2-3 times a quarter! Hate to tell ya but DERMS DO NOT ATTEND SPEAKER OR DINNER PROGRAMS! Esp for atopic Derm.
