COVID Vaccine Mandate

How did they roll it out?! Cowardly. Sending an email instead of directly meeting with employees and allowing for questions. Supervisors have been given no answers to the questions staff is asking: How does separation affect retirement and unemployment? If I'm fully vaccinated now will I have to get every upcoming booster to maintain continued employment? Why do I have to write a paper to justify a religious exemption -- and who are they to judge my religious beliefs and whether they are "valid"?

There were like 10 pages of questions answered. Just because you and your supervisor didn’t take the time it’s not their fault. All your questions are answered there. I don’t remember them addressing unemployment but hello everyone can apply for it. It’s whether or not the company fights it. Employed people people can attempt to apply. But I’m guessing since you would be terminated for insubordination that they won’t be like sure we will let that go through. They probably didn’t have a call because people ask the same questions that you just did that they already addressed or complain.

If it's not OK to protect yourself against disease by getting vaccinated, then it can't be OK to protect yourself against poverty by working for a pharmaceutical company. Just quit, and He will provide.

Wow sick burn such a great comeback… that has absolutely no logic to it… love the hatred for your Christian team mates too… real tolerant. what a good little corporate sheep dog.

You can also be in good health and it’s like the flu…. It’s like going to college to get a good job to stay out of poverty… decisions lead to consequences.

you aren’t going to like it when things you disagree with start getting forced on you by the government by way of corporations. Then again you probably don’t know how to think for yourself anyways.

Companies are tired of paying full salary and benefits for modified work. Secondly, most companies are self-insured and are tired of paying for hospital stays and treatments that most likely could have been prevented with the vaccine. People have rights. True. The right to seek employment elsewhere.

Does the same apply to homosexuals who engage in risky sexual decisions and have resulting high medical costs and hospital stays?? What about alcoholics or people who eat like crap?

Quite the opposite. Up until the pandemic, I was in a weekly Bible study that met in a Lilly cafeteria, in full view of everyone. Not once did I feel I couldn't answer honestly when asked what we were doing, not once did I feel looked down upon.

Speaking of the government, you might want to take that vacation before TSA starts checking vax cards at airports. It's coming.

You all realize continual 6 month boosters are coming this Fall\early winter, right?

When that happens, your status as “vaccinated” will be dependent on receiving the booster shot about every 6 months. If you don’t or start to have problems or reactions to the vaccine like many did with second shot, you will not be able to say “no” and still keep your job...

None of you vaccinated are even thinking about that... you’re not done yet, in fact, you never will be. You’ll have to keep taking it until your heart gives out.

Ok. Cool. Will do. What ever science says.

You all are little snowflakes.

You do realize that FAQs are not really questions asked frequently. Someone makes the. Up based upon what they think people will ask.

They roll out was botched from the beginning. They never should have had people back in the office without masks and should ah e been more transparent about the situation and what they were thinking. Like always Dave chose to do the email rather than actually talking to people. Because he is not a people leader. He has the nickname hatchetman for a reason.

You do realize if there are any questions the document does not answer there is HR or the “report a concern” button at the top of LillyNow in which you can share complaints/questions. Please inform us how Dave is going to answer direct questions to all US and Puerto Rico employees on a call? You do know in the US alone we have over 15k people. People constantly saying how things should be done but have no answers to how logistically it would be done.

I did read it and none of the questions I listed were addressed. Boosters? What's that answer. How exactly are benefits affected if one doesn't retire before the 16th and is still considered "active". (Not to mention the retirement process is supposed to commence 60 days in advance, before exemption decisions will even be communicated.) And please point out where in all those 10 pages it explained how exemptions will be evaluated. And even your reply can't answer whether separation will be considered subordination or not. No detailed documentation comparable to the VERP or previous layoffs was provided. Just 10 pages parroting MSM propaganda on the "safe and effective" vaccines, a claim which any pharma company should know is illegal under an EUA. Thank God I don't have to rely on you as my supervisor to answer questions.

If he was capable of writing an email a more appropriate set of documentation could have been provided. Apparently you are unaware of what was included with the VERP rollout.

You've heard of a thing called a town hall?! We have plenty of those for less important topics.

Exactly... decisions lead to consequences. So before you play the religion card, consider the possibility that you may have already sold your soul through your decision to work in this industry. Which are you more afraid of, the consequence of quitting, or the consequence of staying?

Dave hates people. He sucks as a people leader. We don't have town halls, and even when we do, they aren't real town halls. They are entirely scripted with no real questions from the people.

Dave and the EC only care about money and themselves. Or they are oblivious. Either way there is a dramatic divide between the groups of people at Lilly.

You're not wrong. But go out and look at other companies in CafePharma and you will find the same thing said about their leadership. If you want to work in this industry you will probably need to be vaxed anywhere you go. So, roll up your sleeve and get it over with, this is not a hill worth dying on. Lilly got it right on this one.

This is a world class game of chicken and management is betting on employees blinking first. Behind closed doors they are scared shitless.

Imagine a company losing 20% of its workforce suddenly and in random locations and roles. We’re talking utter chaos.

But they believe they can bend you over by threatening your livelihood. Sadly many will fold and the company will probably win.
