Do you think they realize that even the people who were retained will be looking for other jobs? Maybe that’s what they want. But I know if I’m retained, I won’t feel safe for the future and will get out of soon as possible.
 






Whoever they keep will all be fired in Q1 for not hitting goal anyway. They still haven’t figured that component out yet. How many hit goal in any quarter this year?? 10??
 


















why are external recruiters posting for positions all of a sudden? I saw on LinkedIn multiple positions posted within the last day. One of which is the one I applied for. There is so much shady stuff going on with this deal I can’t handle it

Yes!! It's so creepy to see MY JOB posted on LinkedIn and know that people are trying to take it away from me.
I don't blame the applicants but its still weird to see.
 






Tell people who contact you about your job what the real deal is and explain base salaries will average around the 60k range not 90k.

Also explain the size of the territory and all that driving will be on their car so they better buy a corolla.
 


















Do the math before accepting a position. You can leave with about 3 months pay. If you stay, do YOU plan to be at Circasssia for at least 3 months or are you seeing other opportunities that might be better? Do you think the company will meet their metrics and will retain everyone for at least 6 months? Will they even have $ to offer a severance in 6 months or will they be filing for bankruptcy?
 






The company is being kept alive with money from AZ, with the agreement that Circassia will grow Tudorza. This has not happened which is why they are in this drastic situation of cutting the sales force, hiring new reps at lower base salaries, and creating larger territories. Circassia changes direction frequently because they don’t know how to do this. Do you feel this new direction will be profitable and are you willing to bet your severance on that?
 






If you’re able to take the severance then do it or you need to be able to stick it out until March. That means daily signatures for the next 3 months, but you get your 3 months of salary plus your 10k Q4 bonus on Feb 28th. A lot of people need this job for the insurance for their families.

I had one of my friends in the industry reach out to recruiter for my position. She told him the base would be 65-75. I am over 100.....you really think they are keeping me?
 






Consultants run all companies. Circassia expanded because they paid consultants to do an expansion map and the idiot consultants with their 1995 templates told them where to put territories. Many of us knew that many of the territories were bad locations likely to never show a profit. Now we reap the reward of more work with the consultants to fix the first errors. The territories that remain will likely be too large to do well so you will be in trouble from the start, especially the COPD/Tudorza side. It is likely they will nail one foot to the floor with the never-accurate target lists and demand you double sales, ride with your manager weekly and run around to get 4 sigs a day (which are rarely where the business is). You will get pipped quickly in all likelihood.

The bottom line is there is no secret-sauce to pour on our sales or magic plan to succeed where everyone else has failed on Tudorza. You have to take risks like head to head data or deep discounting to gain access. No one in pharma takes risks or uses new templates.

I think NIOX survives because it is unique and the data for it are getting better. Some other company will buy it or it can spin off on its own. Tudorza and the Pressair devices (Duaklir) probably die 60-90 days after launch when there is no growth curve. NIOX could survive but will still have to be remodeled.
 












Some good thoughts here on the future with Circassia. IF you get offered a new position it is likely you will be supremely miserable from Day 1. The Q4 metrics and attitude going forward will likely be miserable. The question is if you can collect paychecks and take enough Xanax to maintain sanity until you find a new job. Companies like control freaks and jerks for managers these days so that is what it likely to be hired or left here.

The flip side is decent new jobs are hard to get but if you stay you are at least getting a paycheck and benefits.

The only winning solution is if you have a job lined up from another company and can take the severance and jump to another company ASAP. I do not think many are in a good position given the no-knock job raid and the time of year. Hiring wanes during the holidays and you would have had to be actively seeking a position prior to the surprise announcement. Good luck to all.
 






as predicted, I was let go. No real reason given. I know it’s money related but it is still a blow to the ego when the people they kept are awful. Good luck Circassia....you will need it

This is a good point. You get the paychecks but how much misery in between? Do you want to leave on a PIP and a bad reference with your current boss? I know most of us need the paychecks but would you be in a stronger position leaving now? Maybe depends how much cash you have in the bank to hold out for something new. I just believe it will be miserable and they are definitely going to throw it all on the shoulders of the FF.
