1. these are expansion territories not a floating territory, they are launching a new product but won't tell what it is until we get to our interviews. Yes it is a HUGE wasteful expense to be doing it this way (my flight alone was over $400, and a nights hotel where the IV's are. OH BUT WE HAVE TO PAY FOR OUR OWN INCIDENTIALS!?!? 2. business plan, territory plan, 30-60-90 plan, role play on wine, online test with no calc (yeah right like people didn't use a calc who the F can do algebra and shit without one!?)
3. I haven't heard much about salary.....60k?!!? are you serious, no thanks!
4. I really hope this part of Novartis is different than the parent comapny, because Novartis as a company is a fucking joke!

1. What does this assessment consist of? Why would they have us do math problems?
2. Parking? They dont have a shuttle from the airport to the hotel? So they give you rental cars?

1. It takes about an hour or more it's a 5 part test personality, sales apt, math, word assoc

Ok here I go posting on this Ciba thing. I am in the Mid west OH, MI area. OK now thats out of the way here is the lowdown. They are hiring less experienced people or people trying to break into sales or into a Pharma comp. Before you go and say "its contacts not meds" i know that. Your parent company is Novartis. Well this is what I had to do. Prepare a business plan on something like 60 pages of sales numbers a,b,c doctors etc. Then I had role plays of wine and pens. I think there was another sinerio but can't remember. They are offering 20k less then what my salary was and the bonus was 20k. They said 60k was the highest they could go on salary too. These positions are open territories. Meaning that they put you in an open territory where its vacant due to disability or fired or whatever. You prove yourself and then after you have been there for a qtr. they may place you in a territory. Warning they may put you in MA MI OH NY anywhere they want for that open territory. Good luck if you are interviewing.

Everyone candidate went through a phone interview/screening through Ciba Vision's recruiting company, so these are technically the first round of f2f interviews in Arlington April 7 and 8th. Out of the 3-5 candidates that interview for each territory, I imagine the start date will soon follow.
Yes I work at J&J the competition and am IV'ing with CIBA I have IV'd before as well.
Um IV's are this week (30th & 31st) out in LA.
You have interviewed with Ciba before and trying to get a job with them again? Good luck to you. Why leave J&J? Also, how did you feel about the interview process the first time?
J&J is a hellhole. I thought the IV went well, a bit more brutal than J&J's process they made me do stupid role plays (like that ever tells you anything) and the managers here seem to be a bit more partial to those with no pharma or medical sales...they want fresh newbies. But I made it through the process and I'm going to try again, I am looking for more $$.

What is this case study all about? where do we get it and what are we supposed to do with it?
